A federal grand jury sitting in New Orleans, Louisiana, returned an indictment against two Louisiana residents, identified as Imad “Eddie” Hamdan, and Ziad “Z” Mousa who owned and operated over 30 locations of Brothers Food Mart, for allegedly hiring undocumented workers to work in their stores and paying them in cash.
Hamdan and Mousa were charged each with one count of conspiracy to harbor an alien, one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, 48 counts of failure to withhold and pay over employment tax, and 12 counts of aiding and assisting in the preparation of a fraudulent tax return, according to Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Richard E. Zuckerman.
To further conceal these undocumented workers, Hamdan and Mousa allegedly filed false employment tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that did not report the cash wages paid to the undocumented workers.
The indictment further alleges that Hamdan and Mousa aided in the filing of fraudulent tax returns for the managers of Brothers Food Mart stores.
In addition, the indictment charges that Hamdan and Mousa paid the salaries of the managers of the Brothers Food Mart stores partially in cash.
3…………> US-Mexico border: Migrants Overcrowding
President Trump threatened to close the US border if Mexico does not do more to stop migrants reaching the United States, as an “unprecedented” surge in Central American asylum seekers arriving at the US-Mexico border overwhelm the El Paso, Texas, US Customs and Border Protection teams, forcing the officers to hold some migrants under a bridge due to what they say is a lack of space in processing facilities.
4…………> The Trump-Russia Collusion Hall of Shame
“The news that special counsel Robert S Mueller III ‘did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government’ has left a lot of people in Washington with a lot of explaining to do,” Marc Thiessen writes in The Washington Post.
The worst offenders are those who had access to classified intelligence and lied that they had seen actual evidence of collusion, Thiessen explains.
“But we should hold our elected and appointed officials handling sensitive national security issues to a higher standard,” he continued.
“We have long since passed the point where Americans expect objectivity from the press.”
5…………> Earth’s Oldest Pyramid: Under Antarctic Mountain
The US government seismometers detection of Alaska geological anomalies is believed to be rooted in a nuclear blast that occurred in China nearly thirty years ago, which in turn gave a birth to claims of a massive pyramid located far below the surface of the frozen peninsula.
The History Channel’s Ancient Aliens TV show journalist Linda Moulton Howe was contacted by an ex-naval worker who told her on condition of anonymity that his father, an engineer, was able to see the pyramid while he was working on a top secret government project.
“His father had a Navy career and then was asked to continue to work in Alaska on a very special project that involves something underground that put out a lot of energy”, she said.
“He would go down to the base of a huge pyramid using the elevators,” to try to understand how this was giving off what they estimated as a gigantic amount of energy.
