1…………> A Human Stash House: Texas
On June 14, ICE Border Patrol with assistance from the Eagle Pass (Texas) Police Department identified a suspected stash house operating out of a residence in Eagle Pass. A total of 35 illegal aliens were discovered inside the residence after the Eagle Pass Police Department received a 911 call from the location. A subsequent investigation determined another 12 illegal aliens, who were arrested earlier that day by the Border Patrol, had been transported from the residence.
HSI special agents arrested three U.S. citizens. All three are facing federal human smuggling charges.
The 47 individuals included men, women and children from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Colombia and Nicaragua.
This is an HSI-led investigation with the assistance of CBP’s Border Patrol and Eagle Pass (Texas) Police Department.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Texas, is prosecuting the criminal case.
2…………> Crooked Bosses: WI
Two former executives of Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc., identified as Mark R. Wogsland, 53, and Bret S. Naggs, 52, both of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, employees of the publicly traded transportation and trucking company formerly headquartered in Cudahy, were charged in an indictment unsealed today for their alleged participation in a complex accounting and securities fraud scheme that resulted in a loss of more than $245 million in shareholder value.
They were charged in an indictment filed in the Eastern District of Wisconsin with one count of conspiracy to make false statements to a public company’s accountants and to falsify a public company’s books, records and accounts; one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and wire fraud; three counts of securities fraud; and four counts of wire fraud. Naggs, the former controller for Roadrunner’s Truckload operating segment, and Wogsland, the former controller and director of accounting for Roadrunner’s Truckload operating segment, both worked out of Roadrunner’s corporate headquarters in Cudahy. Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc. is currently headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois.
“According to the allegations in the indictment, Mark Wogsland and Bret Naggs engaged in a massive securities and accounting fraud scheme that misled shareholders, regulators, and the investing public, and ultimately caused a loss of more than $245 million in shareholder value,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Cronan. “The Criminal Division is committed to protecting investors and the integrity of U.S. securities exchanges, and we will vigorously pursue corporate executives who engage in deceptive and fraudulent accounting practices.”
“The stability our financial markets depends upon public companies issuing accurate financial statements,” said U.S. Attorney Matthew D. Krueger. “We commend the FBI and the Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General for its excellent efforts in investigating this case.”
Three trading days after announcing the restated financial results, Roadrunner’s share price further dropped from $7.14 to $4.90, causing an additional loss in shareholder value of more than $85 million.
3…………> A Death Threat: Canada
U.S. Ambassador to Canada Kelly Knight Craft received a death threat and suspicious white powder in an envelope mailed to her Ottawa residence, Canadian media reported Friday.
Authorities from both countries are investigating the incident.
Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland met with Craft Friday. Freeland told the ambassador that the incident was “wholly unacceptable”.
A supervisor who screens mail “encountered white powder in a letter addressed to the ambassador” Thursday morning, an email to staff read. Also enclosed was an expletive-filled letter threatening to kill Craft if she did not resign.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, as well as firefighters and a hazardous waste team, were dispatched immediately to the residence. The substance has since tested harmless.

4…………> Hidden Writings: Sinai Manuscripts
An ancient Christian manuscript discovered in Sinai Monastery of Saint Catherine has each of its pages photographed 33 times using 12 different wavelengths, then images are analyzed using computer algorithms, and several images are combined to make the undertext more legible.
If this doesn’t yield results, the page is analysed using statistics: each pixel is assigned a value, separated into categories, then manipulated according to those categories to make that selection more visible to the human eye.
All this trek of discovering the hidden texts in the library of world’s oldest working monastery is made possible by the work of Father Justin, a monk who lives in the Sinai desert in Egypt, in charge of hauling the library at St Catherine’s into the 21st Century.
In part of the world well known for its propensity for war and violence, by the Providence of Lord Mohammed “The Magnificent”, a charter was signed in 625AD “in aid of the Christians” with a gold handprint. A copy of this, guaranteeing the monastery’s protection, hangs in the museum.
The Jebelaya tribe, local Bedouins, who have helped protect and run the monastery since it was built, are Muslim.

5…………> Trump At G7: Remarks, Insults & More
Participants of the G7 meeting had a hard time restraining themselves when the politically incorrect US President Trump shared his shocking insights on migration and terrorism with the President of the Islamic Sheikdom of France, Rabbinical Grand Ayatollah Emmanuel Macron, threatening to send the Japanese Prime Minister 25 million Mexicans and slammed the European Commission President during talks in Canada, calling him a “brutal killer” for the way the European Union treats the US tech giants.
“A sense of irritation with Mr. Trump could be felt, but everyone tried to be rational and calm,” a senior EU official admitted.
According to the report, the US President got into debates about trade issues and immigration, and went as far as to reproach Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
“Shinzo, you don’t have this problem, but I can send you 25 million Mexicans and you’ll be out of office very soon,” Trump allegedly said Abe.
Attendees were also taken back by what he reportedly told France’s President Emmanuel Macron amid discussions about counter-terrorism and Iran.
“You must know about this Emmanuel because all the terrorists are in Paris,” Trump told Macron, according to the WSJ.
