A catastrophic fire engulfed Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, gutting and destroying the landmark’s spire and stunning France and the world, but authorities say the towers have been saved, yet it is not clear what sparked the fire at the 12th-century building, as first responders managed to salvage priceless art and relics
Flames that began in the early evening burst through the roof of the centuries-old cathedral and engulfed the spire, which collapsed, quickly followed by the roof.
Paris fire chief Jean-Claude Gallet said the iconic towers had been saved from the blaze, and the cathedral’s structure was “saved from total destruction”, with one firefighter had been seriously injured, while two-thirds of Notre Dame’s roofing had been destroyed.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un says the breakdown in talks with the United States has raised the risks of reviving tensions, adding that he is only interested in meeting Mr.Trump again if the US comes with the “right attitude.“
