3…………> US Presidential Election Civil Unrest On Horizon? Mark Zuckerberg Warning

.
Accusations from the Democrats that tech giants’ platforms like Google, Facebook and Twitter were used to influence the result of the last election, and could be used to tip the scales in the upcoming vote, are forcing industry leaders like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to warn of the risk of civil unrest in the United States during, and after the presidential election, and the need of measures to do everything to reduce the chances of violence in the wake of the 3 November vote:

“There is, unfortunately, I think, a heightened risk of civil unrest in the period between voting and a result being called. We’re trying to make sure that we do our part to make sure that none of this is organized on Facebook. I think we need to be doing everything that we can to reduce the chances of violence or civil unrest in the wake of this election”, Mr. Zuckerberg said.
Million of people are expected to vote by mail in the upcoming election in the United States due to the severe coronavirus situation in the country, as  President Donald Trump has strongly opposed the measure, saying this could result in election fraud, claiming that the results might not be known “for months or for years” because the ballots could be lost or fail to arrive in time.

4…………> Fraternal Order of Police Unanimously Endorses Trump in US Presidential Race

.

“Public safety will undoubtedly be the main focus for voters in this year’s election. Look at what the national discourse has focused on for the last six months. President Trump has shown time after time that he supports our law enforcement officers and understands the issues our members face every day. The FOP is proud to endorse a candidate who calls for law and order across our nation. He has the full and enthusiastic support of the FOP”, National FOP President Patrick Yoes said in a statement, as US Fraternal Order of Police has unanimously voted to endorse Donald J. Trump for the presidency of the United States.

5…………> China Human Rights In Person: Designated Location Kidnapping Of Anchor Cheng Lei?

.
Cheng Lei is an Australian television anchor for the Chinese Government’s English news channel, CGTN, and now, after two weeks, hardly anyone knew that a prominent Australian television anchor who has worked for the Chinese Government’s English news channel had been detained, leaving her friends worried for not responded to messages for long time, and it wasn’t until Foreign Minister Marise Payne confirmed Australian officials had an “initial consular visit” with Cheng Lei on August 27 that details of what had happened started to appear.

Not surprisingly for dealing with a communist state, Ms. Cheng had been in custody, under China’s “residential surveillance at a designated location” scheme, for at least 13 days at that point, despite charges having yet to be laid against her.

UTS China Studies professor Feng Chongyi told the ABC it was an “arbitrary detention” mechanism that violates international human rights laws:

“Chinese authorities have been routinely using this measure of Residential Surveillance at a Designated Location, the location is usually facilities run by the secret police” he said.
Dr. Feng Chongyi expects Ms. Cheng to be formally arrested and imprisoned.

“The victim is usually held in solitary confinement, sealed off from the outside world for up to six months, and subjected to continuous interrogations, sleep deprivation and other forms of torture.”

Following that Dr. Feng expects Ms. Cheng will be formally detained, arrested and imprisoned.

Chinese-Australian lawyer Hanbing Shen, who is based in Sydney, said usually police can only detain people for 24 hours:

“After 24 hours, if there is no new evidence, they must release them. The only difference in treating foreign citizens is that Chinese public security organs usually inform the consulate or embassy of the country where the citizens are located, so they participate. In previous trials, the staff of the consulate or embassy can attend the trial, but the premise is that the case does not involve Chinese state secrets”, he said.

2…………> Iran Commander: We Are Responsible For Ukraine Plane Crash

General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps airspace unit, said in a press conference on Saturday that his unit accepted “full responsibility” for the incident that killed all 176 passengers on board a Ukrainian passenger plane,  including 82 Iranians, at least 57 Canadians and 11 Ukrainians,  and that those responsible for the crash will be held accountable.
“Requests were made but due to some considerations it was not done and at the same time with the flights, the war situation continued to exist.”
He said that when he learned about the downing of the plane: “I wished I was dead.”
“All this is the price of mischief, turbulence and actions of America in the region,” he said, continuing  the attack on Mr. Trump by many Democratic Party Presidential candidates, namely the South Bend “lousy mayor”, and “low life” Comrade Buttigieg, as labeled by the President, and Elizabeth, “Pocahontas” Warren.

3…………> Applied Global Warming: Giant Dust Storm Down Under

A giant dust storm  reduced visibility down to as low as 300 feet in parts of south-west Queensland.
Meteorology experts said dust storms are not uncommon in summer, and the potential for rain storms is high, as an unpredictable front pushed up from the South Australia and New South Wales whipped up the dust storm stretching from the Northern Territory border to west of Saint George in Queensland.

Meteorologist Lauren Pattie from the weather bureau said the dust storm would continue east but dissipate before reaching the Darling Downs.

“As we move into the evening, that system moves eastwards and weakens a little bit,” she said.

“There will be a little bit of dust haze around tomorrow but it will slowly start to easy back.”

4…………> Did Trump Abuse His Power by Ordering Soleimani’s Assassination?

Despite President Trump’s decision to assassinate most feared Iranian General Qasem Soleimani on 3 January, Washington and Tehran seem to have avoided a full-scale armed conflict and bloodshed, the biggest loss of life being the completely idiotic shooting down of an Ukrainian 737 jet with some 176  passengers aboard, by the Iranian so called “Space Forces”.

The “Deep State”,  Democratic Party “Trump haters” did not miss a second to jump on the “Blame the POTUS” bandwagon, attacking the unilateral decision to assassinate Iran’s top commander of the Quds Force without consulting with Congress in advance, demanding limiting in his ability to take action that could lead to a war with the Islamic Republic.

The US Constitution designates the president as “commander-in-chief of the army and navy”, but it’s generally believed by scholars that as commander-in-chief, the POTUS not only has the power to lead the military, but can also do so without a congressional declaration of war.

5…………> Jihadi Prison Held ‘Sharia Courts’: Get Ready

A convicted jihadist prisoner in the Islamic Sheikdom of UK, identified as 24-year-old Brusthom Ziamani,  currently accused of carrying out an terrorist attack, including holding “Sharia courts” in his cell to manipulate Muslim inmates, along with another radicalized prisoner using makeshift knives to attack members of staff at HMP Whitemoor, an event that police are now treating as a “terrorist incident”.

The pair of jihadists were reported to have slashed and stabbed at four prison officers using the sharp weapons that they had managed to create behind bars. One of the prison officers is said to have sustained stab wounds to his head, face and chest. The two terrorists were also wearing fake suicide bomb belts that they had also made in their prison cells.

Defendant Ziamani, who is also reported to be a Muslim convert, was put behind bars in 2015 at the age of just 22 for scheming to behead a British solider in London, being a follower of the radical hate preacher and founder of the militant Salafi group Al-Muhajiroun, Anjem Choudary.

2…………>  Ice Deports A Double Murderer To Belgium

A 58-year-old Belgian man who murdered both his parents in northern Virginia with a .22 caliber rifle in 1982 was removed to his home country Tuesday by officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).

Alain Paul DeCock was originally admitted to the United States as a non-immigrant in August 1981. In December 1982, the Fairfax County Police Department arrested DeCock for two counts of murder and using a firearm during the commission of a felony. That same month, the U.S. Department of State terminated his non-immigrant status. In March 1983, the Fairfax County Circuit Court convicted DeCock of the charges he faced, and he was sentenced to two life terms plus six years in prison. The former Immigration and Naturalization Service lodged a detainer with the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office in April 1983, and the following year, an immigration judge ordered DeCock’s removal to Belgium.

In October 2010, ERO Washington lodged an updated immigration detainer with the Virginia Department of Corrections on DeCock. In November 2019, after he was granted parole, the Virginia Department of Corrections released DeCock to ERO Washington pursuant to the immigration detainer.

“Honoring detainers prevents public safety threats from being released into our communities,” said Russell Hott, field office director for ERO Washington. “DeCock entered ICE custody pursuant to an immigration detainer lodged with the Virginia Department of Corrections years ago. That detainer enabled ICE to quickly and efficiently gain custody of DeCock and process him for removal.”

3…………> An Act Of Madness: Iran Shoots Down Ukraine 737

An Ukraine airliner that crashed in Iran, killing all 176 people aboard, was most likely brought down accidentally by Iranian air defenses, as investigators are searching for possible Russian-made Tor missile debris, despite Iranian claims that the aircraft may have encountered mechanical problems.

US satellites had detected the launch of two missiles shortly before the plane crashed, followed by evidence of an explosion, with Washington experts believed the downing of the plane was accidental.

President Trump said the crash could have been a mistake, adding he had a terrible feeling about the downed airliner but offering no evidence.

“Somebody could have made a mistake,” Mr. Trump told reporters at the White House, adding that he had suspicions about the crash but giving no other details.

4…………> Another Trump Victory: Wall Money Ban Struck Down

A US appeals court struck down a lower court ruling block the use of  $3.6bn  in DOD defense funds, allowing President Trump to spend the money on a US-Mexico wall, estimated to be around 450 miles of new barrier by year end.

The order by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a lower court’s ruling that stopped the funds being used while the case continues, as Trump-hating “Deep State” operators struggle to negate Mr. Trump’s vow to “build a wall”, a signature promise of his 2016 campaign.

He cheered Wednesday’s night’s ruling by the New Orleans-based court with a tweet, writing: “Entire Wall is under construction or getting ready to start!”.

5…………>  Wildfires: Global Warming And Deforestation To Blame

Huge bush fires have been burning in Australia for months, not an isolated event, as the risk of severe wildfires is increasing everywhere, after months of extreme heat and drought, but this year they are particularly violent, with the summer in the southern hemisphere has only just begun.

Eight million hectares have been destroyed by the flames so far,  twenty-five people and millions of animals have been killed, with entire regions have been left without power and clouds of smoke now cover half the continent.

But Australia isn’t the only place which is burning, according to online platform Global Forest Watch Fires (GFW Fires), reporting  counted over 4.5 million fires worldwide that were larger than one square kilometer.
