In Brooklyn, a 37 year-old Georgian national, released from NYPD custody with an active detainer, who has pending criminal charges for criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd: narcotic drug intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th: methamphetamine, criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th: narcotic, and criminal possession of a weapon 4th: firearm/weapon;

In Brooklyn, a 44 year-old Israeli national, released from NYPD custody with an active detainer, who has criminal convictions for securities fraud: fraud greater than 9 persons, and two counts of scheme to defraud 1st: obtain property greater than $1,000 from one or more persons;

In the Bronx, a 25-year-old Panamanian national, released twice from NYPD custody with an active detainer, who has pending local charges for a criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd: narcotic drug intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th: intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd, and prior criminal convictions for illegal entry into the United States, and unlawful possession of personal identification 3rd, for which a sentence of 2-years of probation supervision was imposed;

In Brooklyn, a 32-year-old Hungarian national, who has pending charges for sex trafficking: make false statements or omissions to induce person, sex trafficking: force person into prostitution by instilling fear, promote prostitution 3rd: two or more prostitutes, travel facilitate prostitution, and promoting prostitution.

Despite President Trump’s appointment of  his Vice-President Mike Pence to coordinate the government response to the corona-virus outbreak, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said he did not expect a vaccine to be ready for a year to a year-and-a-half at the earliest, contradicting claims by the White house news conference that the risk to the American people remained very low, and new cases of Covid-19, the infection caused by the Wuhan corona-virus, continue to spread at a rapid pace around the world.

“We’re very, very ready for this,” Mr. Trump said. Researchers were “rapidly developing” a vaccine, he said, but later on admitted at his news conference that the US should prepare in case the virus spread. “Every aspect of our society should be prepared,”  as Alex Azar, the US health secretary, said the White House had developed a plan to focus on five priorities, including better disease surveillance, local government response coordination, developing therapeutics, and increasing manufacturing of personal health protection equipment, like masks, emphasizing that more US cases are to be expected.

The number of new corona-virus cases being officially reported outside China has exceeded those reported by Beijing for the first time since the outbreak began, as the WHO’s director-general said the spread was “deeply concerning”, but not a pandemic yet, now there are now 38 countries affected by corona-virus, including China, and a WHO research team A WHO mission will travel to Iran at the weekend to provide support.

This week 459 new cases had been reported by 37 countries over the past 24 hours, 81,000 people around the globe have now been sickened by the corona-virus, and more than 2,700 people have died since the outbreak began in December.

“The sudden increases of cases in Italy, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Korea are deeply concerning,” WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.
