1………..> Seattle “Red Barron”: Crashed Plane

A twin-engine turboprop Bombardier Q400 belonging to Alaska Airlines’ subsidiary Horizon Air made “an unauthorized take-off” from Seattle-Tacoma at about 20:00 local time (03:00 GMT) yesterday, piloted by an airline employee who stole the empty passenger plane from the airport and later crashed on a nearby island after being pursued by two NORAD F15 fighter jets.

The local sheriff’s office said it was “not a terrorist incident,” adding that the man was local and aged 29.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad) report stated that two F15s were launched from Portland to intercept the passenger plane, that which was flying erratically and making loops over the water.

Norad said that the intruder crashed on the southern tip of Ketron island,” about 30 miles (48km) south of the airport.

2…………> Russia: International Army Games

In a mock-up, a face-off between Syrian, Israeli and Iranian soldiers parachuted out of MI-8 helicopters, tanks maneuvered through a 15-kilometer obstacle course, fighter pilots competed in visual aerial surveillance, and advanced flying at low altitude in competitions staged across five countries during the International Army Games, thrilling spectators across Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and China.

The Army Games — now in their fourth year — were founded by the Russian military in 2015, with more than 20 stages have been held in the different locations.(Xinhua)

3…………> Uighur Gulags: China

A member of the UN Committee on Human Rights has estimated that two million Uighurs and Muslim minorities were forced into “political camps for indoctrination” in the western Xinjiang autonomous region by the man who according to the “Fake News”, CFR controlled media has a “very good chemistry” with US President Mr. Donald Trump; i.e. President of China and 1st secretary of the powerful military commission Mr.Xi.

“We are deeply concerned at the many numerous and credible reports that we have received,” she told the start of a two-day regular review of China’s record, including Hong Kong and Macao.

“That is the name of combating religious extremism and maintaining social stability (China) has changed the Uighur autonomous region into something that resembles a massive internship camp that is shrouded in secrecy, a sort of ‘no rights zone.’

“There are estimates that upwards of a million people are being held in so-called counter-extremism centers and another 2 million have been forced into so-called re-education camps for political and cultural indoctrination.” She did not specify a source for that information in her remarks at the hearing. 4…………> Monsanto Pestisides; Carcinogens

A Californian jury found that Chemical giant Monsanto knew its Roundup and RangerPro weedkillers were dangerous and failed to warn consumers, ordering it to pay $289m damages to a groundskeeper named Dewayne Johnson who claimed herbicides containing glyphosate had caused his non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer.

It’s the first lawsuit to go to trial alleging a glyphosate link to cancer, a claim Monsanto denies and says it intends to appeal against the ruling. (BBC)

5…………> Take This Dollar & Shove It: Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan rejected “threatening language” of the President Trump’s administration.

“They are threatening us. You cannot bring [Turkish] people to their knees by using a threatening language. We are knowledgeable with justice and law,” Erdogan said after President Trump doubled U.S. tariffs on Turkish aluminum and steel imports to 20 % and 50%.

Calling on the U.S., Erdogan said: “It is a shame. You prefer a pastor to a strategic ally of yours in NATO.”

Later speaking in northeastern Rize province, Erdogan spoke of Turkey’s plans to trade in local currencies with some countries.

“We are preparing to trade in our local currencies with the countries that we have the largest trade volume with, such as China, Russia, Iran, and Ukraine.”

Turkey will “never accept the order, which declares war against the whole world,” through the threats of sanctions, he said, referring to the U.S. (AA)

1…………> DACA Battle: Up To SCOTUS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Monday, August 6, 2018

Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued the following statement on Friday’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) order in the U. S. District Court for the District of Columbia:

“We strongly disagree with the district court’s decision on Friday in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) case. The executive branch’s authority to merely rescind a policy, established only by a letter from the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, is created. The Department of Justice will take every lawful measure to vindicate the Department of Homeland Security’s legal rescission of DACA. “The last administration violated its duty to enforce our immigration laws by directing and implementing a categorical, multipronged non-enforcement immigration policy for a massive group of illegal aliens. This wrongful action left DACA open to the same legal challenges that effectively invalidated another program they established—Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA). DAPA’s implementation was blocked by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and never entered into effect. These two policies declared by officials of the previous administration—by policy letters only—had been considered by Congress and rejected.”

“The Trump Administration’s action to withdraw the policy letters simply reestablished the legal policies consistent with the law. Not only did the Trump Administration have the authority to revoke this guidance letter, but it also had a duty to do so. As former President Obama previously said, the changes they attempted to effect through this policy letter can only be lawfully achieved by congressional action. The judicial branch has no power to eviscerate the lawful directives of Congress—nor to enjoin the executive branch from enforcing such mandates.”

“We have recently witnessed many decisions in which courts have improperly used judicial power to steer, enjoin, modify and right executive policy. This ignores the wisdom of our Founders and transfers policy making questions from the constitutionally empowered and politically accountable branches to the judicial branch. It also improperly undermines this Administration’s ability to protect our nation, its borders, and its citizens. The Trump Administration and this Department of Justice will continue to aggressively defend the executive branch’s lawful authority and duty to ensure a lawful system of immigration for our country.”

2…………> Dodecahedrons: Roman’s Rangefinders?

Did the ancient Romans use a twelve-sided brass object with protruding openings named dodecahedron as a range finder for their legions? When a British man named Brian Campbell from Romford, East London dug out a strangely shaped object smaller than a tennis ball in his garden, he thought of it as a measuring tool.

But later on, he found out that it was one 100’s Roman dodecahedrons unearthed in the last 300 years.

3…………> The Antifa Faces: Berkely Police

The Berkeley Police Department, supported by officers from around the region, used de-escalation strategies throughout the day: separation of rival groups, confiscating weapons and arresting those carrying guns in prohibited areas. There have now been 20 arrests, most of them for possession of banned weapons in parks, and on streets and sidewalks. Dozens of weapons were confiscated. Even though there were many hundreds of people, many of whom came armed and hostile, there were no significant injuries to anyone in public or City staff. The lack of injuries is fortunate given that extremists threw explosives at Berkeley Police and Alameda County Sheriff’s Office mutual aid officers. Berkeley Fire treated and released three members of the public for minor injuries. This work would not have been possible without the significant mutual aid support of the following agencies: Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol and the Oakland, Hayward, San Leandro and Emeryville police departments. There was significant damage to City property: An extremist element amongst a large group marched westbound by the Berkeley Way parking lot, smashing 21 city vehicles and slashing City vehicle tires, and setting one City vehicle on fire. Three minor dumpster fires were extinguished. All roads are now open, and regular police operations have resumed. Our investigation into any crimes will continue. We encourage members of the public to send us videos or photos, which you can upload at http://bit.ly/berkvideo. The following is a partial list of arrestees. 5…………> “No Trade With Iran”: President Trump

Mr.Trump has called the Iran deal promulgated by our 1st Muslim President, Grand Ayatollah Barack Obama “one-sided,” “disastrous” and the “worst I’ve ever seen,” a “deal” that resulted in granting $150 billion credits and a planeload of US cash to the biggest supporter of terrorism in the world.

The President believes renewed economic pressure will force Iran to agree to a new deal, and has issued a strong warning to anyone trading with Iran, following his re-imposition of sanctions on the country.

“Anyone doing business with Iran will NOT be doing business with the United States,” the president tweeted. Some re-imposed sanctions took effect overnight, and tougher ones relating to oil exports will begin in November. Iran’s president, not surprisingly said the measures were “psychological warfare” which aimed to “sow division among Iranians.

1…………> Viva Erdogan, Down With The FETO

Turkish media reported that Mr. Erdogan has captured 53% of the popular vote with 99% of votes counted, and his closest rival Muharrem Ince on 31%, meaning that Turkey’s long-standing leader has won the country’s presidential poll in the first round.

Sadi Guven said the president “received the absolute majority of all valid votes”, but gave no further details, and the opposition has not conceded but said it would continue its democratic fight “whatever the result”.

2…………> Mr. Xi Birds: Got A Shotgun?

If the US did not have enough trouble with drones already, now a news has filtered through the world’s media that the People’s Republic of China Army (PLA) has been deploying a new type of surveillance drone that can so closely imitate real birds that it fools them when they meet.

The South China Morning Post reported on the “Dove” spy bird program, noting that sources told the Hong Kong-based publication that over 30 government agencies had used the flying machines, and the drones replicate about 90% of the movements of a real dove, it is extremely quiet and could not be heard from the ground.

3…………> DARPA Wheels: All Terrain

The new Reconfigurable Wheel-Track (RWT) wheels, developed by DARPA and Carnegie Mellon University, can transition from a round to a triangular track on various terrains while the vehicle is in motion, for applications in a rough terrain as part of its GXV-T program.

“For mobility, we’ve taken a radically different approach by avoiding armor and developing options to move quickly and be agile over all terrain,” DARPA GXV-T head Maj. Amber Walker said in a June 22 press release on the program’s new technologies.

“We look forward to working with the services to transition these technologies into ground vehicle technologies of the future,” the press release added.

4…………> Stop China Cheating: President Trump

Part of an Executive order of President Trump regarding unfair trade practices by China:

From now on, we expect trading relationships to be fair and to be reciprocal.

President Donald J. Trump

YEARS OF UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES: China has consistently taken advantage of the American economy with practices that undermine fair and reciprocal trade.

· For many years, China has pursued industrial policies and unfair trade practices—including dumping, discriminatory non-tariff barriers, forced technology transfer, overcapacity, and industrial subsidies—that champion Chinese firms and make it impossible for many United States firms to compete on a level playing field.

· China’s industrial policies, such as its “Made in China 2025” plan, harm companies in the United States and around the world.

· China imposes much higher tariffs on United States exports than the United States imposes on China.

o China’s average tariff rate is nearly three times higher than the average United States rate.

o Certain products are even more imbalanced, for instance, the United States charges a 2.5 percent tariff on Chinese cars, while China currently maintains a 25 percent tariff on cars from the United States.

· China has banned imports of United States agricultural products such as poultry, cutting off America’s ranchers and farmers from a major market for their goods.

· China has dumped and unfairly subsidized a range of goods for the United States market, undermining America’s domestic industry.

o In 2018 alone, the Trump Administration has found dumping or unfair subsidies on 13 different products, including steel wheels, cold-drawn mechanical tubing, tool chests and cabinets, forged steel fittings, aluminum foil, rubber bands, cast iron soil pipe and fittings, and large diameter welded pipe.

· In January 2018, the Trump Administration found that China’s overproduction of steel and aluminum, and the resulting impact on global markets, is a circumstance that threatens to impair America’s national security.

· The United States has run a trade in goods deficit with China for years, including a $375 billion deficit in 2017 alone.

UNDERMINING AMERICAN INNOVATION AND JOBS: China has aggressively sought to obtain technology from American companies and undermine American innovation and creativity.

· The cost of China’s intellectual property theft costs United States innovators billions of dollars a year, and China accounts for 87 percent of counterfeit goods seized coming into the United States.

We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came. Our system is a mockery of good immigration policy and Law and Order. Most children come without parents…

Mr. Trump’s tweets came as Republicans prepped for a new attempt at passing an immigration bill, and he has redoubled his criticism of US immigration laws on Twitter and in speeches, where he likened illegal immigrants to invaders trying to “break into” the country.

“We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country,” Mr. Trump said on Twitter.

“When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came.

“Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order. Most children come without parents. Cannot accept all of the people trying to break into our Country. Strong Borders, No Crime!”

Republican Congressman Mike McCaul, the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said that” the President is still 100% behind us”.
