Schools and offices shut down in Hawaii and residents are hunkering down to ride out the storm as Hurricane Lane spins toward the islands, with social media videos showing significant flash flooding, landslides, and a massive 18 feet waves pounding the coast.

With the hurricane churning in the Pacific Ocean more than 200 miles south-southeast of Kailua-Kona, more than a foot of rain had already fallen on the eastern side of the Big Island, with at least 14 roads closed due to the storm, and two campers reported trapped on the northern coast.

The storm is packing sustained winds of 120 mi/hr.

“While the unemployment rate is below the [Federal Open Market] Committee’s estimate of the longer-run natural rate, estimates of this rate are quite uncertain,” he added.

The hostile course is not surprisingly the most potent weapon of the parallel, unelected, answerable to no one US government and its supporter hordes of D.C. swamp alligators, who have waged a direct war on a democratically elected US president.

President Trump continued to throw arrows at his attorney general, telling Jeff Sessions to investigate his political opponents, including “Crooked Hillary Clinton” and her criminal enterprise.

The public criticism prompted Sessions to retort via a statement in which he emphasized the “take control of the Department of Justice the day I was sworn in, which is why we have had unprecedented success at effectuating the President’s agenda.”

Trump has repeatedly had Sessions in his crosshairs following the attorney general’s decision to recuse himself from the federal investigation into Russia. Trump blames the choice for paving the way for Mueller’s appointment.

“What kind of a man is this?” Trump asked in an interview with Fox News aired on Thursday. “You know the only reason I gave him the job? Because I felt loyalty. He was an original supporter.”

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s statistics, hundreds die attempting to get into the United States every year.

Due to the secretive nature of the lucrative, yet illegal underground market of human smuggling, accurately gaging the number of people who are smuggled into the United States is extremely difficult. Some estimates put illegal crossings at 350,000 per year—and that’s just coming over the U.S.-Mexican border.

With a crisis of this magnitude, special agents are always looking for a technological edge—and they may have found one in a data analytics software program called Igloo.

Igloo was developed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate and is currently in use by select units of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the lead agency for investigating human smuggling.

Three owners and/or managers of Los Angeles, California-area foreclosure rescue companies, Dorothy Matsuba, Jamie Matsuba, and Thomas Matsuba, were sentenced to 240, 135, and 168 months in prison today for their roles in a foreclosure rescue scheme, respectively.

Dorothy Matsuba, 67, her daughter Jamie Matsuba, 33, and her husband, Thomas Matsuba, 67, all of Chatsworth, California, were sentenced by U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner of the Central District of California. Judge Klausner also ordered the defendants to serve three years of supervised release. Restitution and forfeiture will be decided at a hearing on Aug. 13. All three defendants were remanded into custody. Dorothy Matsuba pleaded guilty on Dec. 4, 2017, to one count conspiracy to commit wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank or mortgage lending business, and identity theft, five counts of wire fraud, six counts of false statements to federally insured banks, and six counts of aggravated identity theft. On Dec. 13, 2017, after a one-week trial, Jamie Matsuba and Thomas Matsuba were both convicted of one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, making false statements to federally insured banks, and committing identity theft and one count of making false statements to federally insured banks.

More than 50 people, including a reputed gang member, are facing criminal charges as part of a joint federal and state investigation into heroin and fentanyl sales in the city’s West Side.

This investigation, dubbed “Operation Fat Chance,” centred on drug sales on the city’s West Side and resulted in seizing more than three kilograms of heroin, more than a kilogram of cocaine, and more than 230 grams of fentanyl.

Authorities also seized eight illegal firearms, including a semi-automatic assault rifle with a drum-barrel magazine, and more than $100,000 in narcotics proceeds.

As part of this investigation, law enforcement shut down two open-air drug markets in the city’s North Lawndale and East Garfield Park neighbourhoods.

The probe was conducted under the umbrella of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF), a partnership between federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, whose principal mission is to identify, disrupt and dismantle the most serious drug trafficking organizations.

Criminal complaints and affidavits filed in U.S. District Court in Chicago charge 15 defendants with various drug offences.

Two of the federal targets were arrested on Tuesday and several more were arrested Thursday.

Forty-two other defendants were charged in state complaints, and many of them were also arrested Thursday.

The defendants have begun making initial appearances in Cook County Criminal Court.

In addition, 14,000 Romanian doctors and nearly 50,000 nurses have left the national medical system to work elsewhere. Each year around 450 doctors and around 1,000 nurses leave Bulgaria in search for better job opportunities in western Europe.

We have to wait and see if new Fed chair Powell will attempt to destroy Eurasian block by sending gold prices below 1000, despite the fact both Russia and China have been buying their whole gold production in local gold backed currency instead of money printing machines. In other words, US has lost controls of the precious metals complex, and with Trump’s infrastructure and tax cut campaign the National debt will soon be at, or over 30 trillion dollars, since D.C. swamp alligators have no intention dropping their pet projects.
