2…………….> Sumerian Poem Gilgamesh Forfeited: DOJ
Pursuant to ongoing Cultural Property, Arts & Antiquities investigations by ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York, a civil complaint was filed Monday to forfeit a rare cuneiform tablet bearing a portion of the epic of Gilgamesh, a Sumerian epic poem considered one the world’s oldest works of literature. Known as the Gilgamesh Dream Tablet, it originated in the area of modern-day Iraq and entered the United States contrary to federal law. The tablet was later sold by an international auction house (the “Auction House”) to Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. (“Hobby Lobby”), a prominent arts-and-crafts retailer based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for display at the Museum of the Bible (the “Museum”). Despite inquiries from the Museum and Hobby Lobby, the Auction House withheld information about the tablet’s provenance. The tablet was seized from the Museum by law enforcement agents in September 2019.
“We are proud of our investigation that led to this reclaiming of a piece of Iraq’s cultural history. This rare tablet was pillaged from Iraq and years later sold at a major auction house, with a questionable and unsupported provenance,” stated Peter C. Fitzhugh, special agent in charge for HSI New York. “HSI New York’s Cultural Property, Arts and Antiquity Investigations program will continue to work with prosecutors to combat the looting of antiquities and ensure those who would attempt to profit from this crime are held accountable.”

3……………..> Coronavirus Vaccine: Train The Immune System?
.
Pharma research company Moderna said it discovered neutralizing antibodies in the first eight people who took part in their safety trials, and also reported the immune response was similar to people infected with the actual virus.
Larger trials to see whether the jab actually protects against infection are expected to start in July.
Work on a coronavirus vaccine has been taking place at unprecedented speed, with around 80 groups around the world working on them.
In yet another field battle of the COVID-19 war, a research team in England hopes that man’s best friend could help sniff out the coronavirus on people unknowingly infected. The team has already successfully trained canine noses to detect other diseases like malaria.

4…………> WHO Permanent Funding Freeze: Sheriff Trump
.
President Trump published an “self-explanatory” letter sent to China’s WHO “main man”, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, threatening a permanent funding freeze and “reconsider our membership” in the organization, if the agency “does not commit to major substantive improvements within the next 30 days”, and continues to “ignore the credible reports of the virus spreading in Wuhan” that “conflicted directly” with the Chinese government., “making claims” on the coronavirus “that were grossly inaccurate or misleading,” and giving in to the alleged “pressure” made by the Chinese president Xi Jingping in order not to proclaim the coronavirus outbreak an emergency.
“The only way forward for the World Health Organization is if it can actually demonstrate independence from China”, the letter read.
Trump slammed the WHO for praising China “for its alleged transparency”, insisting that “China has been anything but transparent”.
“Even now, China continues to undermine the International Health Regulations by refusing to share accurate and timely data, viral samples and isolates, and by withholding vital information about the virus and its origins”, the letter said.

5………….> Fire US State Department Inspector General Linick: Pompeo Request To Trump
.
After a river of crocodile tears from the “Fake News” media, and US House “Trump haters & saboteurs”, the White House divulged that President Trump had dismissed State Department Inspector General Steve Linick after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo “recommended the move”.
“I don’t know the gentleman,” Trump said of Linick.
“I was happy to do it. Mike requested that I do it, ..I think we’ve been treated very unfairly by inspector generals”.
“Maybe he thinks he’s being treated unfairly,” Trump said of Pompeo. “This is a man who has had some controversy, this inspector general”.
Pompeo said Trump fired Linick, the latter an almost six-year veteran at the job, at his personal request, because he felt Linick’s work was undermining State Department work.
“I went to the president and made clear to him that Inspector General Linick wasn’t performing a function in a way that we had tried to get him to, that was additive for the State Department, very consistent with what the statute says he’s supposed to be doing,” Pompeo said.
“The kinds of activities he’s supposed to undertake to make us better, to improve us”.
Pompeo denied that he made the request that Trump fire the inspector general as political retaliation.
“It is not possible that this decision, or my recommendation, rather, to the president, rather, was based on any effort to retaliate for any investigation that was going on, or is currently going on,” Pompeo claimed.
“Because I simply don’t know. I’m not briefed on it. I usually see these investigations in final draft form 24 hours, 48 hours, before the IG [inspector general] is prepared to release them”.
