Master Chief Ian Thompson, prospective command master chief of the guided-missile destroyer USS Delbert Black (DDG 119), presents a framed Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) pennant to Ima J. Black, widow of the ship’s namesake, at the Naval Station Mayport Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Club. Although the purpose of Black’s visit was to transfer the combination cover of her late husband, Delbert Black, to USS Delbert Black, the Mayport Area CPO Mess threw her a surprise party to celebrate her 97th birthday. Delbert Black was the first MCPON, and Ima, a member of the Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Voluntary Emergency Service), is the First Lady of the Navy Chief Mess and an honorary master chief. DHS ICE officers arrested 49 foreign nationals, mostly criminal aliens, immigration fugitives, re-entrants, and other immigration violators, including
17 with criminal convictions, 14 with pending criminal charges, 6 previously removed and re-entered.
“This operation resulted in multiple arrests of criminal aliens, public safety threats, and individuals who have violated our nation’s immigration laws,” said ERO Philadelphia Acting Field Office Director Gregory Brawley.
“Some of these dangerous individuals had been released to the streets instead of being turned over to ICE on our detainers, which compromises the safety of the homeland that ICE officers strive to protect every day. ICE will continue conducting operations to execute its mission and bring to justice those subjects who jeopardize the sanctity of our immigration laws and the safety of our citizens.”

North Korea canceled high-level talks with South Korea, labeling joint provocative military exercises with the US as a rehearsal for an invasion, with Pyongyang then accusing US national security adviser John Bolton of making “reckless statements” about North’s “Libya model” for the denuclearization of the peninsula.
President Trump has said there is a “very substantial chance” a historic summit with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un next month may not happen unless the North must meet conditions for the summit to go ahead though if it did not, it might happen “later”.
North Korea declared that it will start dismantling its nuclear test site in a ceremony to be attended by foreign journalists.

The massive Fed balance sheet contraction will result in a $600 billion dollars being dumped on the credit markets each quarter, a leftover of the horrendous $4.3 trillion money printing of Obama’s septic tank that will surely exert a severe pressure on stocks and financial assets.
