Illegal migrants entering through the southern US border will no longer be eligible for asylum under a new rule announced by the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, that would stop granting it for those who breach any presidential restriction on entry.

A mass shooting in the city of Thousand Oaks in Southern California, left 13 people dead including an officer and a gunman, and at least 11 injured, with the gunman identified as 28-year-old Ian David Long, a former Marine, according to Ventura County Sheriff Geoff Dean.

Dean said his department had several contacts with Long over the years, including a call to his home in April when it was believed he may have been suffering from poor mental health. “We believe he shot himself,” Dean said.

The former CEO of Citrades pleaded guilty today for his role in a scheme to defraud investors out of $8.3 million in the United States and across the world in financial instruments known as “binary options.”

Citrades was a purported internet-based investment platform. Jason Benjamin Scharf, 37, of Los Angeles, California, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud before U.S. District Judge George H. Wu of the Central District of California, with sentencing has been scheduled for Feb. 25, 2019, before Judge Wu.

As part of his guilty plea, Scharf admitted that from February 2013 through December 2015, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of Citrades as the company’s CEO, and that he agreed with his co-conspirators to induce investors to purchase binary options based on materially misleading misrepresentations and omissions. As described in the plea agreement, a binary option is a type of option contract in which the payout depends on the outcome of a discrete event, typically related to whether the price of a particular asset—such as a stock or a commodity—will rise above or fall below a specified amount.

Scharf admitted that Citrades operated its binary options business principally out of Israel, but had representatives and co-conspirators working on its behalf in the United States.

Gold down to 1220.1 and USD/CHF at 1.00 due to President Trump setting tariffs on Chinese products. Translation? As the dollar goes down, we have to wait and see if the new Fed Chair Jerome Powell will continue pressuring gold and the Eurasian block with it down below $1000/oz in an economic WW3.  We have to wait and see if new Fed chair Powell will attempt to destroy Eurasian block by sending gold prices below 1000, despite the fact both Russia and China have been buying their whole gold production in local gold backed currency instead of money printing machines. In other words, US has lost controls of the precious metals complex, and with Trump’s infrastructure and tax cut campaign the National debt will soon be at, or over 30 trillion dollars, since D.C. swamp alligators have no intention dropping their pet projects.
