LOS ANGELES – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers removed a 37-year-old Salvadoran national, identified as Cesar Enrique Castro-Martinez, unlawfully present in the United States and considered a public safety enforcement priority for ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), also wanted for aggravated homicide in El Salvador and turned him over to law enforcement authorities there, April 9.
On July 30, 2013, the Third Instance Court Judge of Criminal Matters, Santa Ana, El Salvador, issued an arrest warrant for Castro-Martinez and Interpol published a Red Notice for his arrest, May 15, 2019. ERO officers in Los Angeles received a referral from Interpol identifying Castro-Martinez as the subject of an arrest warrant and Red Notice, and arrested him during a targeted enforcement operation in Irvine, California, Aug. 26, 2019. An immigration judge ordered Castro-Martinez removed to El Salvador, Feb. 4.

Two Airmen with the 93rd Air Ground Operations Wing, identified as Senior Airman Jeremy Rowland, 822nd Base Defense Squadron security forces squad systems operator, and Airman 1st Class Colin Bracken, 822nd BDS security forces fire team member, saved a man from a near-drowning incident at Madison Blue Springs State Park, Florida, March 27, after completing a mission readiness exercise the weekend prior, spent their day swimming at the spring when they noticed a man struggling to swim, later identified as a Valdosta State University student:
“We’d only been in the water maybe 10, 15 minutes, just relaxing, and just out of the corner of our eyes, we both looked over and saw him bobbing up and down,” Bracken said.
That scenario is globally common. According to the World Health Organization, drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional injury death worldwide, accounting for 7% of all injury-related deaths with an estimate of 320,000 annual drowning deaths worldwide.
Bracken grew up swimming in the ocean.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Engineers at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have successfully launched the Ingenuity helicopter from Mars’s surface, the first controlled, powered flight conducted on another planet, confirming the successful flight during a live broadcast at 10:52 GMT, when data from the flight, which was conducted roughly three hours earlier, arrived back on Earth.
The Ingenuity helicopter was launched from the Perseverance rover, and the 4-pound rotorcraft successfully hovered at 10 feet above Mars’ surface for roughly 30 seconds.
The first photo, made by the helicopter, was posted by NASA, depicting Ingenuity’s own shadow.
