The alleged shooter and member of the Barrio Azteca (BA), a transnational border gang allied with the Juarez Cartel, was extradited from Mexico to the United States to face charges related to the March 2010 US Consulate murders in Juarez, Mexico, with Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division making the announcement.

The gang has a militaristic command structure and includes captains, lieutenants, sergeants and soldiers – all with the purpose of maintaining power and enriching its members and associates through drug trafficking, money laundering, extortion, intimidation, violence, threats of violence and murder.

A total of 35 BA members and associates based in the US and Mexico were charged in the third superseding indictment for allegedly committing various criminal acts, including racketeering, narcotics distribution and importation, extortion, money laundering, obstruction of justice and murder.

Twenty-eight of those defendants have pleaded guilty, one was convicted by a jury, one is currently pending trial, one defendant committed suicide while imprisoned during his trial and three others are pending extradition from Mexico.

North Korea called former US vice president Joe Biden a “rabid dog” that “must be beaten to death with a stick” in its latest swipe against foreign and political leaders it sees as hostile to the North’s leadership.

Sources indicate that an Indian delegation had already visited Rosyth Dockyard in Scotland, which is where the second Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft — HMS Prince of Wales — is now being assembled.

President Trump’s former adviser Roger Stone was found guilty on all seven counts, including giving false testimonies to Congress on five occasions, obstructing justice, and witness tampering, by a US federal jury on 15 November, earlier accused of lying to Congress about his ties to the WikiLeaks website in relation to its publication of files from the servers of the Democratic National Committee, and could face up to 20 years in prison.

He will remain free until his sentence is determined in February 2020, despite the prosecutors demanding that he be jailed right away, but President Trump lashed out at the verdict, and called out the lack of investigation into alleged misconduct by a number of his political rivals.
