This is a prime example of the reckless, irresponsible misinformation that continues to mislead the public concerning the mission of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the agency did not enter the Redmond United Methodist Church, nor was the agency conducting operations near that location at any time this weekend, and it maintains that cooperation by local officials and the community are an indispensable component of promoting public safety.

Illegally present in the US Ervin Urrutia-Sagastume was accused of sexual abuse against children, including photographing, videotaping, depicting on a computer or filming sexual acts, criminal use of a communication facility, and possession of an instrument of crime.
That same day, ICE’s Philadelphia Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) lodged an immigration detainer on Urrutia, but local law enforcement released him onto the streets, without notifying ICE.
ICE hence arrested the unlawfully present Guatemalan national Ervin Urrutia-Sagastume, after he was released from police custody, despite a detainer lodged against him for sexual abuse against children.
This is not the first time that Philadelphia Police Department has released a criminal alien back onto the street without notifying ICE.
