ICE arrested 97 criminal aliens and immigration violators in six Midwest states during a five-day enforcement action, in the following states: Illinois (28), Indiana (14), Kansas (22), Kentucky (12), Missouri (10) and Wisconsin (11). Three women and 94 men were arrested.
Of those arrested by ICE deportation officers during this enforcement surge, 58 had prior criminal histories that included convictions for the following crimes: assault, battery, domestic violence, child exploitation, sexual assault, driving under the influence (DUI), drug possession, re-entry after deportation, resisting officers, obstruction of justice, hit-and-run and illegally possessing weapons.
A Norwalk, Connecticut, man, identified as James Booths, was arrested following an investigation by ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York, with assistance from HSI Boston—New Haven, Connecticut office, and indicted in the Southern District of New York, being charged with securities fraud, wire fraud, and investment advisor fraud in connection with his years-long scheme to defraud customers of his financial services firm named Booth Financial Associates (“Booth Financial”).
Booth solicited money from clients of Booth Financial and falsely promised to invest their money in securities offered outside of their ordinary advisory and brokerage accounts.
President Trump fury about the impeachment inquiry he faces in Congress heated-up, retweeting a warning from an American pastor that his removal would spark a “civil war-like fracture,” and suggesting Democrat Adam Schiff should be arrested for “treason”, as the conservative pastor Robert Jeffress gave the “civil war” warning during an appearance on Fox News, saying the “country will never heal” if Mr. Trump is removed from office.

The Maxine “Impeach 45” Waters, Adam “Pencil Neck” Schiff, “Trump Haters” & Co crowd got the shock of their lives when Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report in May dumped a bucket of ice water on the notion Donald Trump and/or his campaign team colluded with the Kremlin in the years and months leading up to the November 2016 Presidential election.
Now, US District Judge Dabney Friedrich Friedrich has issued a ruling that amounts to a major rebuke of Mueller’s claims the IRA was connected to the Russian government, and its activities were in any way an interference operation.
While Mueller was not found to be in actionable criminal contempt, Friedrich’s ruling is nonetheless a brutal condemnation of his probe’s approach, statements and conclusions.
“By attributing IRA’s conduct to ‘Russia’ as opposed to Russian individuals or entities the Report suggests the activities alleged in the indictment were undertaken on behalf of, if not at the direction of, the Russian government…But the indictment, which alleges private Russian entities and individuals conducted an “information warfare” campaign designed to sow discord among voters, does not link the defendants to the Russian government. Save for a single allegation Concord and Concord Catering had several “government contracts” (with no further elaboration), the indictment alleges only private conduct by private actors,” Friedrich stated.
As a result, the judge concluded “regardless of media coverage before the report”, it was “significant and prejudicial” that the government “drew a link between these defendants and the Russian government”.
Furthermore, by “making or authorizing the release of public statements that linked the defendants’ alleged activities to the Russian government and provided an opinion about the defendants’ guilt and the evidence against them”, Mueller had violated rules against contempt of court.While criminal proceedings will not be brought against the Special Counsel, Friedrich has nonetheless ordered officials to limit public statements about Concord’s guilt or innocence, and warned any violations of the edict “will trigger a range of potential sanctions”.

Federal authorities this morning arrested eight people named in a federal grand jury indictment that alleges check-kiting schemes that used hundreds of altered Armenian passports to fraudulently open bank accounts and steal nearly $1.5 million from Bank of America and Wells Fargo. A ninth defendant in this case is currently being sought by authorities.
The 36-count indictment unsealed today alleges that the defendants used the bank accounts, which were opened in the names that appeared on the altered passports, to write bad checks to other fraudulently obtained bank accounts, exploiting bank rules to transfer money from one account to another, and then to immediately withdraw funds at ATMs in Las Vegas casinos and other locations before the checks bounced.
ICE found that the defendants obtained genuine Armenian passports issued to other people, altered the passports to include the photos of the defendants, and used the fraudulent documents to obtain other identity documents and to open bank accounts at the victim banks.
The indictment charges all of the defendants with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, a charge that carries a statutory maximum penalty of 30 years in federal prison.

Foreign national identified asFrancisco Cuxum Alvarado, a/k/a Francisco Cuxun-Alvarado, 64,wanted in Guatemala for participating in mass sexual assault of indigenous women charged for his role in the 1980s massacre of indigenous Guatemalans, and with illegal re-entry into the United States in federal court in Boston on May 29 after being apprehended by ICE.
“Mr. Cuxum Alvarado is in Massachusetts illegally, evading accountability for human rights violations in Guatemala,” said United States Attorney Andrew E Lelling while announcing the details of the case in Boston.
“While many immigrants come to this country seeking a better life, Mr. Cuxum Alvarado came here illegally, to escape a dark, criminal past. This case highlights the important work of ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations in identifying and removing war criminals, human rights violators, and other dangerous aliens who illegally seek a safe haven in the United States.”
It is alleged that Cuxum Alvarado was a member of the PAC in Rabinal, and in 1998, was named as a suspect in the March 13, 1982, massacre of women and children at Cerro Pacoxom. In 2018, the Guatemalan government charged Cuxum Alvarado with crimes against humanity for participating in the mass sexual assault of Maya Achi women in and around Rabinal. In connection with the charges, the Guatemalan government obtained an INTERPOL Red Notice for Cuxum Alvarado’s arrest, which is a request to law enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest suspects pending extradition to the jurisdiction in which they are charged. Cuxum Alvarado will be subject to extradition to Guatemala.
Andrés Manuel López Obrador said social problems could not be resolved with tariffs, in a reply to “immigrant tariffs” levied on his country:
