On the Bay of Bengal, India’s Andaman and the Nicobar Islands are an isolated group of 572 tropical, some inhabited islands, and one of the islands, Ross Island, is a creepy ghost town, where the remnants of a 19th-Century British settlement chosen as the site of a penal colony for Indian mutineers that now lie in ruins. Abandoned in the 1940s, the camp is being reclaimed by nature. Lavish bungalows, a massive church, ballrooms, even a graveyard, all are in varying stages of dilapidation, being taken over by an unyielding forest, all on an island surrounded by stunning beaches, thriving marine life, rich coral reefs and largely undisturbed primary forests.

Two exhibitions dedicated to China: an exhibition of giant luminous lanterns and another exhibition of Chinese masks named “Happy Heads” opened in Dinant, a small tourist town in southern Belgium.
The two exhibitions aimed to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year of Dog, which fell on Feb. 16 this year, and mark the 2018 China-EU Tourism Year, would run from March 9 to April 2.
“‘EU-China Light Bridge’ activities will further promote Sino-Belgian relations and make Chinese New Year culture known to the world,” said Zhang Chi, charge d’affaires of the Chinese embassy in Belgium at the opening ceremony
Mayor of Dinant Richard Fournaux said that he hoped to strengthen the ties between China and Dinant and attracts more Chinese tourists.

An immigration attorney named Joel Paul, 45, of Fishers, Indiana was sentenced today to 75 months in prison for defrauding the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and more than 250 of his clients by filing fraudulent visa applications and reaping approximately $750,000 in illegitimate fees. In addition to the prison sentence, Paul is to serve three years of supervised release and ordered that he pay up to $750,000 in restitution to his victims. In November 2017, Paul pleaded guilty to one count each of mail fraud, immigration document fraud, and aggravated identity theft in connection with a scheme to submit fraudulent U-visa applications.
“Immigration fraud undermines not only the public’s faith in our institutions and the legal profession, it also jeopardizes public safety and compromises national security,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Cronan. “Attorneys who commit such egregious fraud on our legal system and their own clients will be held accountable.”

Former GRU officer Sergei Skripal, working under an MI6 code name “Forthwith,” delivered a file of the entire Russian military intelligence telephone handbook to the UK intelligence services, according to sources within the British media.
Skripal and his daughter Julia who were the target of a “nerve toxin” attack this week, was sentenced in Russia to 13 years in prison for delivering MI6 the names of Russian intelligence agents working undercover in Europe, later being pardoned by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, and allowed to move to the United Kingdom.

President Vladimir Putin says he does not care about alleged Russian interference in the US presidential election because the actions were not connected to his Government, a denial regarding the 13 Russian nationals and three Russian companies detailed in a US indictment.
“I do not care at all because they do not represent the Government. Maybe they are not even Russians, but Ukrainians, Tatars or Jews but with Russian citizenship, which should also be checked … maybe they have dual citizenship or a green card … maybe the US paid them for this. How can you know that? I do not know either,” Mr Putin said.
