2…………> Cousin Google Gets Pinch In The Rear: EU Fine

“Today’s decision is about how Google abused its dominance to stop websites using brokers other than the AdSense platform,” Ms. Vestager told a news conference, after announcing the $2.38 billion dollars fine on Google whose actions led to search ad spots being reserved for its services, giving advertisers and website owners less choice and faced higher prices that would then be passed on to consumers.

The misconduct included stopping publishers from placing any search ads from competitors on their search results pages, forcing them to reserve the most profitable space on these pages for Google’s ads, and a requirement to seek written approval from Google before making changes to how rival ads were displayed.

3…………> In Jail With “El Chapo”? The Sackler Family

Renowned American artist and photographer Nan Goldin led the “Sackler Pain” protest movement, that targeted museums accepting the Purdue Pharma company’s donations, a move forcing Britain’s National Portrait Gallery to decline a grant from the charitable arm of the reclusive United States family whose company is being sued for starting America’s opioid crisis.

The pharmaceutical giant produces OxyContin, an opioid painkiller that has turned millions of Americans into drug users.

“(Crooked) Hillary Clinton confirms she will not run in 2020, rules out a third bid for White House.” Aw-shucks, does that mean I won’t get to run against her again? She will be sorely missed!

  • ….Scott has helped us to lower drug prices, get a record number of generic drugs approved and onto the market, and so many other things. He and his talents will be greatly missed!

  • Scott Gottlieb, who has done an absolutely terrific job as Commissioner of the FDA, plans to leave government service sometime next month….

  • Just a few moments ago, I signed an EO addressing one of our nation’s most heartbreaking tragedies: VETERANS SUICIDE. To every Veteran—I want you to know that you have an entire nation of more than 300 million people behind you. You will NEVER be forgotten.

2…………> Grandpa Was A Drug Dealer: PA

On March 4, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania, announced that a Pittsburgh man pleaded guilty in federal court to charges regarding his trafficking of cocaine and money laundering, following a joint investigation by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Internal Revenue Service, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police,  and the Drug Enforcement Administration 11, 2017 searches that resulted in law enforcement locating items which included:

In the defendant’s residence: cocaine prepackaged for sale and color-coded for size; multiple firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition; large amounts of cash; multiple vehicles registered to Amman and his family;

In the defendant’s garage: amounts of powder cocaine; numerous inositol bottles and material to convert cocaine into crack; large amounts of cash; three pistols (including one registered to Amman); and a safe imbedded into the concrete floor.

At Amman’s residence: firearms; prepackaged amounts of crack and cocaine in a jacket with Amman’s name on it; keys to a truck (in the jacket); in the truck was approximately $1,000 and additional prepackaged cocaine.

3…………>War Criminal Visa Fraud: Busted

On March 1, Judge Marco A Hernandez of the US District Court for the District of Oregon entered an order revoking the naturalized US citizenship of a convicted war criminal Sammy Rasema Yetisen aka Rasema Handanovic aka Zolja, a native of the former Yugoslavia that illegally procured a US citizenship.

The court’s order was based on its finding that Yetisen lacked the good moral character required to naturalize because she had executed six unarmed civilians and prisoners of war during the 1990s Balkans Conflicts because of their religion and ethnicity, later concealing her crimes to procure refugee status and US citizenship in the United States.

The unit targeted Bosnian Croats who resided in the village because of their Christian religion and Croat ethnicity, killing 22 unarmed individuals including women and the elderly.

Yetisen played a key role in the massacre, serving as part of a firing squad that lined up and executed six unarmed prisoners of war and civilians.

4…………>Chanel Tribute To Lagerfeld: The Final Collection

The presentation of Karl Lagerfeld’s final collection for Chanel, shown at Paris women’s fashion week, opened with a minute of silence in tribute to the fashion giant, in memory of the label’s iconic creative director who passed away on February 19 at the age of 85.

After models stood silent on the catwalk at the Grand Palais in Paris, a recording of Lagerfeld’s voice talking about his presentations was played, moments of the life of a prolific designer who oversaw the brand for the last 37 years, leading it through a variety of changes, which included, incorporating sweatpants into the fashion lineup — even though he had also famously declared that sweatpants were “a sign of defeat.

On the catwalk, different Chanel muses were part of the line-up, including Cara Delevingne who opened the presentation, as well as actress Penelope Cruz and the young Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford’s daughter. (DW)
