San Francisco’s local government has voted to ban the use of facial recognition software by police and other city departments, becoming the first US city to outlaw a rapidly developing technology that has alarmed privacy and civil liberties advocates.

Translation: One desperate (poissibly an illegal alien or drug imoared person) may defecate in front of Mayors office, being videotaped in real time of his crime, but police cannot arrest the person based on the evidince on hand. The logic applies to all other crimes, like drug dealing and assortment of violence behaviours, leaving the reader with the simple question: Should “The city on the Bay” be renamed, “The city of Sodom & Gomorah“?

Advocates argue the technology is flawed and a serious threat to civil liberties, critics of the ban say police need all the help they can get, and the ban will not apply to the US Government at airports or in private businesses.

Is this idiotic ordinance yet another anti-Trump attempt to prevent the Feds of cleaning-up the city of illegal criminals? Don’t bet against it.

US National Security Adviser John Bolton said the military deployments would “send a clear and unmistakeable message” to the Iranian regime that any attack on US interests in the region “will be met with unrelenting force”, and the administration hopes to compel Iran to negotiate a “new deal” that would cover not only its nuclear activities, but also its ballistic missile programme and what officials call its “malign behaviour” across the Middle East.

USS Arlington had already been scheduled to go to the region, but its deployment was brought forward to provide enhanced command and control capabilities, as Iran’s Isna news agency quoted a senior Iranian cleric, Yousef Tabatabai-Nejad, as saying that the US military fleet could be “destroyed with one missile”.
