A New Hampshire resident, identified as Israel Perez, pleaded guilty in federal court to participating in a fentanyl trafficking conspiracy in a seven-defendant narcotics case, between May and September, 2018, he conspired with other persons to distribute more than 40 grams of fentanyl, as part of a drug trafficking organizations making controlled purchases of approximately 250 grams of fentanyl.

Co-defendants Samuel Ramos, Abelino Morales-Padilla, Billy Damuel Maldonado Cancel, Jose Hiram Martinez Rolon, and Karina Reyes previously pleaded guilty to fentanyl trafficking charges in the same case.

The CDC reports that from 1999 to 2016, more than 630,000 people have died from drug overdoses, with 66% of drug overdose deaths involved an opioid.

A 14-count indictment has been unsealed today in San Antonio, Texas, charging five individuals with coordinating an identify-theft and fraud scheme targeting service members and veterans, with the  defendants, who were based in the Philippines and the United States, stole personal identifying information (PII) of thousands of military members to access Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs benefits sites and plundered millions.

Fredrick Brown, Trorice Crawford, Allan Albert Kerr, and Jongmin Seok, were charged with multiple counts of conspiracy, wire fraud, and aggravated identify theft based on their alleged leading roles in the theft and exploitation of victim PII to conduct their fraud scheme.

5…………> A Big Coke Bust: Grocery Stores Banana Boxes 

 

Almost 50 pounds of cocaine worth more than $1 million were found Sunday at three Safeway grocery stores in Washington state,placed in banana shipments sent to stores in Woodinville, Bellingham and Federal Way. 

Sergeant Ryan Abbott with the King County Sheriff’s Office said that the drugs were first discovered by two produce workers at the Woodinville location while they were unpacking bananas from the shipment boxes.

“This appears to be a case where someone at a shipping port either got the wrong shipment from Central America or let cocaine slip through the US port for fear of getting caught,” Bellingham police are quoted as saying by media reports.
