A prominent Ukrainian anti-corruption activist Kateryna Handzyuk, 33, who suffered burns over 40% of her body and severe eye damage as a result of the assault on 31 July in the southern city of Kherson, has died, three months after she was injured in an acid attack. Ms. Handzyuk, who was also a Kherson city council member, had undergone 11 operations in the capital Kiev. President Petro Poroshenko on Sunday called for the killers to be punished. Five suspects are already in custody.

Ross Edgley returned on Sunday to the Kent town of Margate, in Britain’s south-east, 157 days after he left, after stepping on to dry land for the first time in over five months. He became the first man in history to complete a 2,800-kilometre circumnavigation of Great Britain — swimming unassisted the whole way. The 33-year-old Briton first took to the water on June 1 this year. His days following consisted — weather allowing — of two six-hour swims, often in the dark of night, with periods of rest on board a boat in between. On many days he covered enough distance in the water to have comfortably completed a swim across the English channel.

The Islamic Merkeldom of Germany’s state of Hesse’s decision to keep several documents secret for 120 years, prompted further speculations about the NSU’s possible ties, news that the National Socialist Underground (NSU) killed eight Turkish immigrants, one Greek citizen, and a German police officer between 2000 and 2007, but the murders had long remained unresolved.

“It’s a disgrace for us that the right-wing extremists could continue their killing spree for such a long time,” Foreign Minister Heiko Maas wrote on Twitter on Sunday, on the seventh anniversary of the exposure of the killers on November 4, 2011.

“The investigations into this case must continue. It remains our duty to stand against far-right hatred anytime and anywhere,” he emphasized.

Uncle Adolf grand-children aka German far-right groups has drawn up several “enemy lists” containing names and addresses of more than 35,000 people; i.e people that obviously must be dealt with in case of a political upheaval.

The neo-Nazi group (NSU) gathered addresses and telephone numbers of around 10,000 people until it was discovered in 2011, and the far-right extremist group “Nordkreuz,” which was only revealed last year, prepared lists that involved records of around 25,000 individuals.

The terror network was founded by 28-year-old German lieutenant Franco A. also prepared several lists on potential targets, which included 32 names, and one can also wonder if any Jewish names might be included in the final roster.

British sailor Tony Bullimore, whose story of survival made international headlines, has died at the age of 79.

In 1997, he was miraculously saved by the Australian Navy after being stranded in the Southern Ocean for four days when his yacht capsized, as he had been taking part in the Vendée Globe single-handed race and used an emergency beacon to attract attention 2,500-kilometre away from the Australian coast. Images of Mr. Bullimore rescue was big news across the world, and in the vision, he was seen kissing his rescuers on the cheek.

US spy satellites have observed renewed activity at a North Korean nuclear missile factory,  as one image showed a truck similar to those used previously to transport ICBMs.

Photos and infrared imaging indicate vehicles were moving in and out of the facility at Sanumdong, the factory that built the first North Korean intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) capable of reaching the United States.

US President Donald Trump has launched a stinging attack on Republican mega-donors Charles and David Koch, the owners and bankrollers of the Establishment GOP, labeling them a “total joke.”

His tweets come after a spokesperson for the brothers’ network accused the White House of stoking divisiveness. Mr. Trump said he has “beaten them [the Kochs] at every turn.” On Monday, the Koch network caused a stir by refusing to back a Republican candidate in North Dakota, which voted overwhelmingly for Mr. Trump.
