1…………> Sessions Attacked: USS Trump
President Trump’s has set tweeter on fire after rumors surfaced that he is comparing Attorney General Jeff Sessions to cartoon character “Mr.Magoo”, an elderly, clumsy, bumbling fellow, in an escalating year-long public flogging of the mild-mannered former senator – is raising the question: How much longer will Sessions endure?
Trump tore into his top law enforcement official on Tuesday over his decision to ask the inspector general to review alleged surveillance abuse by intelligence agencies. Trump complained that the IG is an “Obama guy” and such an investigation will “take forever” (though the inspector general has served under presidents of both parties).
“Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!” Trump tweeted.
According to one published account, Sessions tried to resign last May after Trump called him an “idiot,” but then-Chief of Staff Reince Priebus intervened and helped convince him to stay.
2…………> Sarmat 28: Putin’s NewToy
Russian President Vladimir Putin unveiled a new array of weapons that are invincible to current interception systems, consisting of “a low-flying, difficult-to-spot hypersonic cruise missiles with a nuclear payload with a practically unlimited range and an unpredictable flight path, which can bypass lines of detection and are invincible in the face of all existing and future systems of both missile defence and air defence“.
Another weapon he discussed was a submarine-launched, long-range missile capable of delivering a nuclear warhead.
Mr. Putin made the revelation as he laid out his key policies for a fourth presidential term, ahead of an election he is expected to win in 17 days’ time.
Absent from the campaign is prominent opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who has been barred from running and has called on voters to boycott the poll.

3…………> Muslim Hater: Tampa
David H. Howard, 59, of Tampa, Florida, pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division, to one count of threatening, intimidating, and interfering with a Muslim family’s enjoyment of their housing rights, in violation of Title 42 U.S.C. § 3631. Howard intimidated and interfered with the victims, who sought to purchase a home in the Davis Islands neighborhood of Tampa, Florida, by threatening to burn down the home, simply because it was being purchased by a Muslim family.
“The Department of Justice will not tolerate illegal threats or acts of intimidation against any individual because of their religious beliefs,” said Acting Assistant Attorney John Gore of the Civil Rights Division. “The Civil Rights Division will continue to work tirelessly to prosecute hate crime offenders.”
A sentencing date has not yet been set. Howard faces a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release, and a fine up to $250,000.
4………..> No Bail: Illegals
A divided Supreme Court has ruled that certain immigrants or asylum seekers do not have an automatic right to periodic custody or bail hearings, a 5-3 decision in response to Trump’s administration attempts to tighten up rules governing those seeking permanent entry into the country.
The decision was a response to a lawsuit by Mexican drug dealer Alejandro Rodriguez, held for more than three years without any bond hearing. The Mexican national was convicted of misdemeanor drug possession and joyriding but fought deportation.
Chief Justice John Roberts, and Justices Anthony Kennedy, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch, supported the judgment.
5…………> Trump’s Friend: Judge Curiel
In a 101-page ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel wrote that both Congress and the executive branch “share responsibilities in protecting the country from terrorists and contraband illegally entering at the borders,” de-facto shooting down an environmental challenge to President Trump’s border wall, delivering a win to the administration in a decision that allows construction plans to move forward.
This is the same Judge Gonzalo Curiel whom candidate Trump attacked for being biased against him – due to Curiel’s Mexican ancestry.
Reaction to the ruling was along party lines:
“Border security is paramount to stemming the flow of illegal immigration that contributes to rising violent crime and to the drug crisis, and undermines national security,” DOJ spokesman Devin O’Malley said Tuesday. “Congress gave authority to the Department of Homeland Security to construct a border wall without delay to prevent illegal entry into the United States, and we are pleased DHS can continue this important work vital to our nation’s interests.”
“[My office] will evaluate all of our options and are prepared to do what is necessary to protect our people, our values, and our economy from federal overreach. A medieval wall along the U.S.-Mexico border simply does not belong in the 21st century,” Communist State of California Attorney General Xavier Becerra said in a statement.
