A federal grand jury for the District of Nevada has returned an indictment , charging a former Las Vegas, Nevada, realtor named William Waller with evading over $500,000 in taxes owed for 2004 through 2009 and obstructing the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by directing third parties to pay nominee entities for services Waller provided, and then using bank accounts in the names of those nominees to pay his personal expenses.

If convicted, the defendant faces a statutory maximum sentence of 30 years in prison for making a false statement to a bank, five years in prison for tax evasion, three years in prison for obstruction of the internal revenue laws, and one year in prison on each failure to file a tax return count. Waller also faces a period of supervised release, monetary penalties, and restitution.

A federal grand jury in Nashville, Tennessee returned a 45-count superseding indictment today charging a Gangster Disciples member Rex Andrew Whitlock, aka Stackhouse, 33, of Clarksville, with murder in aid of racketeering and use of a firearm resulting in death of the rival Bloods gang as he left Dodge’s Chicken and drove down Tobacco Road in Clarksville, at which time Whitlock shot and killed him.

 

“According to today’s superseding indictment, Gangster Disciples member Rex Andrew Whitlock allegedly laid in wait for a member of a rival gang outside a gas station in Clarksville, followed him down the street and murdered him,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Cronan. “The Department of Justice is committed to prosecuting gangs like the Gangster Disciples and to eradicating the scourge of violence that this gang and others like it have inflicted on too many communities.”

Sister Agnes-Marie Valois earned her nickname ‘White Angel’ after she came to the aid of wounded Canadian and British soldiers in 1942. She stood up to Nazi soldiers and even stole German rations to feed Allied troops.

Sister Valois was born in 1914 in the French city of Rouen, about 35 miles south of Dieppe in a family of industrialists, but she later trained as a nurse with the Red Cross before joining the Augustine order in 1936.

She died aged 103 at a monastery where she was living in retirement, in the northern French town of Dieppe.

An all-star line up has performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall in honor of the UK’s longest-serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth who was presented with a bouquet of flowers by a 7-year-old Londoner celebrating his birthday too.

Prime Minister Theresa May led birthday tributes to the head of the royal family on Saturday, praising her “service, dedication and constancy” at a concert held in her honor at London’s Royal Albert Hall featuring singers Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue, Craig David, Sting and Shaggy, and South African band Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Earlier in the day, she was honored with a 41-gun royal salute by soldiers from the Royal Horse Artillery, along with a parade past Buckingham Palace and a second, 62-artillery gun salute at the Tower of London.

After at least 45 Russian diplomats were expelled across Europe, and then the U.S. threw out 60 more Russian diplomats accusing them of working as intelligence officers and ordered the closure of Moscow’s consulate in Seattle, Russia decided to close the U.S. consulate in Saint Petersburg and expel “the same number of diplomats”, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced, hinting that Russian measures against the U.S. could go further beyond.


He added that Russia was convening an extraordinary meeting of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) on April 2 to discuss Skripal case.

“I’m so glad my comrades are finally home, but it is a great pity they cannot witness the prosperity of our country now,” said Korean War veteran Li Weibo, 87, about his comrades, a small group of the over 190,000 “volunteers” who perished in one of most brutal fighting after WW2.

A burial ceremony for the remains of 20 Chinese soldiers killed in the 1950-53 Korean War was held at the Cemetery of Revolutionary Martyrs in Shenyang, capital of northeast China’s Liaoning Province.

More than 300 people including government and military officials, Korean War veterans, and members of the public, attended the ceremony.

The red carpet rolled for North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Chinese President Xi Jinping, as they inspected honor guards on his “unofficial” visit to Beijing, China.

Kim and his wife Ri Sol-ju were treated to a banquet at the stately Great Hall of the People, a performance and a lesson in Chinese tea culture from Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyan during his first known trip to a foreign country since coming to power in 2011.

The Department of Justice today filed a complaint to revoke the naturalization of a Sudan native named Mubarak Ahmed Hamed, a man who entered the United States on an F-1 student visa and gained lawful permanent resident status through the diversity visa lottery program—for violating and conspiring to violate sanctions imposed against Iraq under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), as well as obstructing Internal Revenue laws.

On June 25, 2010, Hamed pleaded guilty to conspiring to illegally transfer of more than $1 million to Iraq in violation of federal sanctions, and to obstructing administration of the laws governing tax-exempt charities. Hamed was sentenced to four years and 10 months in federal prison on January 11, 2012.

A federal indictment was unsealed today charging 36 individuals for their alleged roles in the Infraud Organization, an Internet-based cybercriminal enterprise engaged in the large-scale acquisition, sale, and dissemination of stolen identities, compromised debit and credit cards, personally identifiable information, financial and banking information, computer malware, and other contraband, alleging racketeering conspiracy and other crimes, as federal, state, local, and international law enforcement authorities arrested 13 defendants from the United States and six countries: Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Kosovo and Serbia.

“Today’s indictment and arrests mark one of the largest cyberfraud enterprise prosecutions ever undertaken by the Department of Justice,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Cronan. “As alleged in the indictment, Infraud operated like a business to facilitate cyberfraud on a global scale. Its members allegedly caused more than $530 million in actual losses to consumers, businesses, and financial institutions alike—and it is alleged that the losses they intended to cause amounted to more than $2.2 billion. The Department of Justice refuses to allow these cybercriminals to use the perceived anonymity of the Internet as a shield for their crimes. Rabobank National Association (Rabobank), a Roseville, California subsidiary of the Netherlands-based Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A., pleaded guilty to a felony conspiracy charge for impairing, impeding and obstructing its primary regulator, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (the OCC) by concealing deficiencies in its anti-money laundering (AML) program and for obstructing the OCC’s examination of Rabobank. Rabobank will forfeit $368,701,259 as a result of allowing illicit funds to be processed through the bank without adequate Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or AML review.

In a not surprising show of “pork barrel” bipartisanship, Republican Senate leader Mitch “Harry’s Twin” McConnell and his Democratic counterpart Chuck “I cried tears for the Muslims” Pelosi agreed the two-year pact that would hike US defence and domestic spending by 300 billion of dollars, an debt-ballooning “monstrosity” that is expected to face opposition in the House of Representatives.

The Washington Post puts the figure at half a trillion dollars, while House of Representatives Democratic leader, Nancy “No, Amy is not my daughter” Schumer, engrossed herself in an eight hours idiotic speech, standing in high heels, blabbering about her opposition to any budget that does not include protections for so-called Dreamers, young immigrants who entered the US illegally as children.

Rep. Brooks, a member of the Freedom Caucus, slammed dubbed bill a “debt junkie’s dream”, while Freedom Caucus leader Jim Jordan of Ohio, said the agreement was a “monstrosity”, which he found hard to believe could have emanated from his own party.
Where was President Trump while this firefight was taking place? No one knows.
