But even they would not express a view on whether Texas’s attempt to throw out millions of votes and effectively hand the presidency to Mr. Trump had merit.

The decision paves the way for the members of the Electoral College to meet in state capitals across the US on Monday, and at that point, the door to Mr. Trump’s legal challenges to the election will slam closed.

BEIJING, March 2 (Xinhua) — Publishing houses from 17 countries, including Albania, Poland, Romania, Belarus, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Nepal, Laos, Bangladesh, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, have partnered with Beijing-based Foreign Languages Press, the publisher of the third volume of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China,” for translating a book, first published in Chinese and English on June 30, 2020, that records the practices of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core in leading the whole Party and Chinese people to make new and major advances in various undertakings of the Party and the country since the 19th CPC National Congress in 2017,  into different languages for publication.

“Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” has three volumes, which have been translated into 33 languages and distributed in over 170 countries and regions.

The Chinese publisher said it is also working on the translation and publishing process of the French, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, German, Japanese, and Portuguese versions of the third volume.

A New Jersey man, identified as Richard Tobin, 19, of Brooklawn, pleaded guilty to his role in conspiring with members of a white supremacist hate group to threaten and intimidate African Americans and Jewish Americans by vandalizing minority-owned properties throughout the country in September 2019:

“Conspiring with others to vandalize and destroy property owned by African-Americans and Jewish Americans will not be tolerated by the Department of Justice,” said Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Pam Karlan of the Civil Rights Division.

“Every person should feel secure knowing they have the right to own and use their property free from being targeted because of their race or religion. We will continue to protect the civil rights of all individuals and vigorously prosecute bias motivated crimes.”

“Americans should never have to fear racist, anti-Semitic or any other form of bias-motivated violence,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig for the District of New Jersey.

“This defendant encouraged hateful acts of violence against individuals and their houses of worship, based solely on their religion or the color of their skin. Together with our colleagues in the Civil Rights Division and the Joint Terrorism Task Force, this office will continue to work every day to identify individuals like him and bring them swiftly to justice.”
