Turkish media reported that Mr. Erdogan has captured 53% of the popular vote with 99% of votes counted, and his closest rival Muharrem Ince on 31%, meaning that Turkey’s long-standing leader has won the country’s presidential poll in the first round.

Sadi Guven said the president “received the absolute majority of all valid votes”, but gave no further details, and the opposition has not conceded but said it would continue its democratic fight “whatever the result”.

If the US did not have enough trouble with drones already, now a news has filtered through the world’s media that the People’s Republic of China Army (PLA) has been deploying a new type of surveillance drone that can so closely imitate real birds that it fools them when they meet.

The South China Morning Post reported on the “Dove” spy bird program, noting that sources told the Hong Kong-based publication that over 30 government agencies had used the flying machines, and the drones replicate about 90% of the movements of a real dove, it is extremely quiet and could not be heard from the ground.

The new Reconfigurable Wheel-Track (RWT) wheels, developed by DARPA and Carnegie Mellon University, can transition from a round to a triangular track on various terrains while the vehicle is in motion, for applications in a rough terrain as part of its GXV-T program. 

“For mobility, we’ve taken a radically different approach by avoiding armor and developing options to move quickly and be agile over all terrain,” DARPA GXV-T head Maj. Amber Walker said in a June 22 press release on the program’s new technologies.

“We look forward to working with the services to transition these technologies into ground vehicle technologies of the future,” the press release added.

· China imposes much higher tariffs on United States exports than the United States imposes on China.

o China’s average tariff rate is nearly three times higher than the average United States rate.

o Certain products are even more imbalanced, for instance, the United States charges a 2.5 percent tariff on Chinese cars, while China currently maintains a 25 percent tariff on cars from the United States.

· China has banned imports of United States agricultural products such as poultry, cutting off America’s ranchers and farmers from a major market for their goods.

· China has dumped and unfairly subsidized a range of goods for the United States market, undermining America’s domestic industry.

o In 2018 alone, the Trump Administration has found dumping or unfair subsidies on 13 different products, including steel wheels, cold-drawn mechanical tubing, tool chests and cabinets, forged steel fittings, aluminum foil, rubber bands, cast iron soil pipe and fittings, and large diameter welded pipe.

· In January 2018, the Trump Administration found that China’s overproduction of steel and aluminum, and the resulting impact on global markets, is a circumstance that threatens to impair America’s national security.

· The United States has run a trade in goods deficit with China for years, including a $375 billion deficit in 2017 alone.

UNDERMINING AMERICAN INNOVATION AND JOBS: China has aggressively sought to obtain technology from American companies and undermine American innovation and creativity.

· The cost of China’s intellectual property theft costs United States innovators billions of dollars a year, and China accounts for 87 percent of counterfeit goods seized coming into the United States.

Mr. Trump’s tweets came as Republicans prepped for a new attempt at passing an immigration bill, and he has redoubled his criticism of US immigration laws on Twitter and in speeches, where he likened illegal immigrants to invaders trying to “break into” the country. 

“We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country,” Mr. Trump said on Twitter.

1…………> MERS Virus: Saudi Arabia 

Outbreaks of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) have killed 23 people in Saudi Arabia over a roughly four-month span, the World Health Organization (WHO) said Monday. 

The deaths occurred between Jan. 12 and May 31, the WHO announced on its website. 
Those who died were among the 75 people infected by the coronavirus during the period. 

The deaths were in the Hafer Albatin region, Riyadh, Jeddah and Najran region. 
As of May 31, the global number of laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus reported since 2012 totalled 2,220, including 1,844 cases reported from Saudi Arabia. 
With the latest figures, a total of 790 people have died from the disease since September 2012. 

MERS, which occurs in Middle East countries, especially in Saudi Arabia, primarily infects the lungs and may cause damage to the kidneys and other organs. It is transmitted by close contact with infected persons, and there are no preventive inoculations or effective medications against the virus. (Anadolu Agency)

US President Donald Trump says he is ordering the establishment of a 6th branch of the military and wants a ‘Space Force’ to stop China and Russia’ from leading the US, but the international Outer Space Treaty bars the stationing of weapons of mass destruction in space, yet his order directs the management of traffic and debris in space.  

“It is not enough to merely have an American presence in space. We must have American dominance in space,” Mr Trump said before a meeting of his National Space Council. 

“We are going to have the Air Force and we’re going to have the ‘Space Force.’ Separate but equal,” he said later. 

“It is going to be something. So important.” 

The United States wants to send robotic explorers to the moon as soon as next year as a preparatory step towards sending astronauts back there for the first time since 1972, a NASA official said on Monday. 
 
In December, Mr Trump signed a directive that he said would enable astronauts to return to the moon and eventually lead a mission to Mars.

US President Donald Trump has threatened to levy a 10% tariff on $200bn (£151bn) of Chinese goods in a tit-for-tat trade row with Beijing and has asked his trade advisers to identify additional Chinese products on which to impose new tariffs despite imposing 25% tariffs on $50bn worth of Chinese goods. 

Beijing responded by saying it would hit 659 US goods worth $50bn with a similar tax. 

The US president released a statement saying “these tariffs will go into effect if China refuses to change its practices, and also if it insists on going forward with the new tariffs that it has recently announced”. 

“If China increases its tariffs yet again, we will meet that action by pursuing additional tariffs on another $200 billion of goods. The trade relationship between the United States and China must be much more equitable,” he said. 

The Chinese product lines that have been hit range from aircraft tyres to turbines and commercial dishwashers. 

In response, China announced tariffs on $34bn of US goods including agricultural products, cars and marine products which will also take effect from 6 July. 
Major market indices have again approached the critical 24800 level of DJI average, and it is only matter of time before on a downward gap opening may give us the first bear market of the Trump’s administration.

1…………> A Letter From Cristoforo: 500 Years Later 

Today, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) returned a more than a 500-year-old copy of Christopher Columbus’ letter describing his discoveries in the Americas to Spain during an evening repatriation ceremony at the Residence of the Spanish Ambassador to the United States. The letter, originally written in 1493, was stolen from the National Library of Catalonia in Barcelona and sold for approximately $1 million. 

“I am pleased to be able to return a priceless piece of cultural property to its rightful owners,” said HSI Acting Deputy Executive Associate Director Alysa D. Erichs. “I would like to thank Ambassador Morenés for his hospitality in hosting us tonight, HSI Wilmington, Madrid, Brasilia, and Paris for their excellent work on this investigation, as well as the tremendous assistance by our partners at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Delaware, without whom today’s repatriation would not be possible,” Erichs added. 

The return of the letter was the culmination of a seven-year investigation jointly conducted by ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware. It began in 2011 when HSI Wilmington (Del.) and the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office received a tip that several 15th century original manually printed copies of the Columbus Letter were stolen from European libraries and replaced with forgeries without the knowledge of library officials or local law enforcement. The investigation determined that the stolen Columbus Letter from Spain was sold in November 2005 for 600,000 Euros by two Italian book dealers. 

“This evening ceremony is a showcase of the ties that bind the United States and Spain together,” said Ambassador of Spain to the United States Pedro Morenés. “The cooperation between Homeland Security Investigations and special units of the Guardia Civil has born great fruit in ensuring the return of stolen cultural property to Spain,” Ambassador Morenes added. 

Today’s repatriation marks the second return of a Columbus letter by ICE, the most recent until now taking place in May 2016. 

ICE has returned over 11,000 artifacts to over 30 countries since 2007, including paintings from France, Germany, Poland and Austria, 15th-18th century manuscripts from Italy and Peru, cultural artifacts from China, Cambodia, and two Baatar dinosaur fossils to Mongolia, ancient artifacts including a mummy’s hand to Egypt, royal seals valued at $1,500,000 to the Republic of Korea, and most recently, thousands of ancient artifacts to Iraq.

A CEO and four physicians identified as Mashiyat Rashid, 37, of West Bloomfield, Michigan; Spilios Pappas, 61, of Monclova, Ohio; Joseph Betro, 57, of Novi, Michigan; Tariq Omar, 61, of West Bloomfield, Michigan; and Mohammed Zahoor, 51, also of Novi, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and wire fraud in a indictment as part of an investigation into a $200 million health care fraud scheme that involved a network of Michigan and Ohio pain clinics, laboratories and other medical providers. The superseding indictment returned yesterday charges an additional wire fraud conspiracy, adds an additional count of money laundering, and contains new allegations regarding the distribution of over 4.2 million medically unnecessary dosage units of controlled substances and the administration of medically unnecessary injections that resulted in patient harm. 

“We are facing the deadliest drug crisis in American history,” said Attorney General Sessions. “Sadly, some corporate executives and medical professionals continue to exploit vulnerable patients and the American taxpayer for profit. With one American dying of a drug overdose every nine minutes, this superseding indictment reflects the Department of Justice’s determination to prosecute those who engage in opioid-related fraud. These cases are extremely important. Since 2017, the Department charged more than 150 doctors for opioid-related crimes. Today’s indictment reflects our continued dedication to these important cases. I want to thank our FBI, HHS-OIG and IRS-CI agents, DOJ attorneys, and everyone else who helped investigate and prosecute this case.”

The “zero-tolerance” policy towards adults who try to cross the border seeking asylum, are detained and threatened with criminal prosecution for illegal entry, leaving hundreds of minors have been taken from them, as US Attorney General Jeff Session defended the separation of migrant children from their parents at the border with Mexico, a measure that has faced increasing criticism. 

Mr. Sessions said those entering the US irregularly would be criminally prosecuted, a change to a long-standing policy of charging most of those crossing for the first time with a misdemeanor offense, with the children that come with them will be separated and deemed as unaccompanied minors. 

As such, they are placed in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services and sent to a relative, foster home or a shelter – officials at those places are said to be already running out of space to house them.
