DOS servers,” a report from DarkSide group’s operator Darksupp said, the hacking group which was responsible for the recent ransomware attack that shut down Colonial Pipeline, and now has lost access to some of its online infrastructure on Friday, according to cybersecurity firm Recorded Future report.

The fuel shortages caused by the ransomware attack led to panic buying in certain parts of the United States. Colonial Pipeline, against the advise of the FBI, reportedly paid DarkSide a $5 million ransom in exchange for a decryption key and the return of their hacked information.

A new species of dinosaur has finally been identified by palaeontologists after the creature’s 72 million-year-old remains were discovered in Mexico several years ago in Coahuila state back in 2013. Researchers worked to identify the dino, now known as Tlatolophus galorum:

“Once we recovered the tail, we continued digging below where it was located. The surprise was that we began to find bones such as the femur, the scapula and other elements,” Alejandro Ramírez, one of the scientists involved in the discovery said.

PHOENIX, Ariz., — Special agents from the Phoenix office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), arrested two alleged child sexual predators and identified two victims under the age of 16 years old late last month, with both defendants face multiple counts of state child sexual exploitation and molestation:

“HSI focuses on identifying victims of these alleged heinous crimes,” said Scott Brown, special agent in charge for HSI Phoenix.

“Arresting and prosecuting alleged predators hopefully brings some comfort to those who suffered abuse and to the community in general.”

SPOKANE, Wash. – Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents are asking for the public’s help to identify potential minor victims of inappropriate sexual contact and for investigative information concerning a man who volunteered at multiple local volleyball clubs from 2017 to 2021.

The suspect, Sergio Donizetti Luciano, 59, who is currently in federal custody, is a fugitive from justice in Brazil with a prior conviction for rape of a minor. While there may or may not be any victims in the United States, there is an ongoing HSI investigation into that possibility.

A towering wall of sand hit northwestern China’s Gansu province, covering factories and apartment blocks, as just released aerial images showed a billowing cloud of yellow dust smothering Gansu’s Linze county over the weekend, with low visibility resulted in multiple car accidents in the province reported.

RENO, Nev. – A local area man identified as Eric Blair McCartt, aka Aeryne McCartt, 37, of Reno, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for producing images of child sexual abuse involving multiple minor victims under the age of 12 years old, following an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Las Vegas, pleading guilty in Jan. 2019, to producing child pornography. According to court documents, McCarrtt joined a chat group dedicated to trading child sexual abuse materials, using two prepubescent minor victims known to him to produce images of child sexual abuse including photographing his own genitalia on the victims’ faces while they were sleeping. He distributed these images to others in the chat group, and some of the images were posted to the internet. Several of the images were found on the computer of another individual in another country.

“With this sentencing, we have removed a dangerous child predator from the community and sent a categorical message that we are committed to aggressively investigate anyone who seeks to exploit our most vulnerable population – our children,” said Francisco Burrola, special agent in charge for HSI Las Vegas.
“Child pornography, when it’s released on the internet, lives on forever to haunt the innocent children whose abuse is depicted in the images. While we cannot undo the damage of his horrible crimes, we hope that this sentence helps with the healing process for his victims and families.”

Four members of the ‘Proud Boys’ organization were charged by a federal grand jury with conspiring to impede Congress on 6 January, a new superseding indictment unsealed indicates, that all four defendants are the leaders of Proud Boys divisions in their respective states: Ethan Nordean of Washington, Joseph Biggs of Florida, Zachary Rehl of Pennsylvania and Charles Donohoe of North Carolina.
