Seven members of a drug trafficking organization that distributed large quantities of deadly drugs over a two-year period, in and around the Village of Ellenville in Ulster County, New York were indicted federally following an investigation by ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations, and charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and to distribute controlled substances, including crack cocaine and heroin mixed with fentanyl.

“Thanks to federal, state, and local law enforcement cooperation, a group that sold deadly drugs in the Ellenville area will now be held accountable in the courts,” stated United States Attorney for the Northern District of New York, Grant C. Jaquith.

Four Ellenville, New York, residents were arrested this morning for selling large amounts of crack cocaine in the area as charged in an indictment returned last week by a federal grand jury, and in coordination with today’s federal arrests, the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting an additional 15 people who were arrested for selling drugs in the same location.

Brissett, 30, of the Bronx, New York, is charged with one count of using a firearm to commit murder during a crime of violence and a drug-trafficking crime, which carries a maximum penalty of death or life imprisonment, and one count of using arson to obstruct justice, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

According to the allegations in the indictment unsealed in Manhattan federal court, on or about June 30, 2009, Brissett shot and killed Gordon in the course of a drug-trafficking crime and a robbery in the vicinity of Mickle Avenue and Chester Street in the Bronx, New York.

Between January and February 2017, Vo recruited other individuals – including a minor residing in Norway – to create online content in support of ISIS, including a video threatening a non-profit organization based in New York, New York, which was formed to find and combat the online promotion of extremist ideologies.

Since that time, the UCC and its sub-groups have disseminated ISIS propaganda online, including “kill lists,” which listed the names of individuals – for example, soldiers in the United States Armed Forces and members of the State Department – whom the group instructed their followers to kill.

For example, on or about April 21, 2016, the UCC posted online the names, addresses, and other personal identifying information of approximately 3,602 individuals in the New York City area and included a message that stated: “List of most important citizens of #New York and #Brooklyn and some other cities, “We Want them #Dead”.

In April 2016, Vo joined the United Cyber Caliphate (UCC), an online group that pledged allegiance to ISIS and committed to carrying out online attacks and cyber intrusions against Americans.
