The Hamas resistance group’s military wing, Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, warned Israel it would bomb more places in Israel if attacks on Gaza continued.

“The bombing of Ashkelon was a warning message that the next would be greater in case the aggression continued,” the official spokesman of al-Qassam Abu Obaida tweeted late Monday.

Hamas announced earlier its rockets fired from Gaza reached the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon, and the Israeli army said 200 rockets were fired from Gaza but the country’s air defense system, Iron Dome, intercepted 60 with most of the rest falling on empty land. Ashkelon is a coastal city on the Mediterranean coast, located 50 kilometers south of Tel Aviv.

Reports started coming in at 06:47 local time on Friday 9 November when a British Airways pilot contacted Shannon air traffic control, inquiring if there were military exercises in the area because there was something “moving so fast,” with the air traffic controller said there were no such exercises. The pilot, flying from the Canadian city of Montreal to Heathrow, said there was a “very bright light” and the object had come up along the left side of the aircraft before it “rapidly veered to the north.” She was wondering what it could be but said it did not seem to be heading for a collision. The Irish Aviation Authority is investigating reports of bright lights and UFOs off the south-west coast of Ireland. Another pilot from a Virgin plane joined in and suggested it might be a meteor or another object re-entering the earth’s atmosphere.

“The Golani Brigade conducted a wide-ranging exercise this week involving combat simulations on the northern front,” Israel’s army spokesman Avichay Adraee said in a statement regarding a week-long military drill involving simulated combat scenarios along its borders with Lebanon and Syria.

The maneuvers come as part of a series of military drills aimed at bolstering the army’s overall combat-readiness that had simulated combat situations involving Lebanon’s Hezbollah group, with which Israel fought a major conflict in 2006.

The Israeli army frequently conducts drills near the borders of Lebanon, Syria and the Hamas-run Gaza Strip.

Ziv Mador, head of security research at Trustwave SpiderLabs told the BBC that credit card thieves have limited time to profit, because at some point the victim will put a stop on their card. Tens of thousands of stolen card numbers are traded daily on the underground markets that Mr. Zador and his colleague’s monitor, with details taken from compromised websites or databases.

“They can try to sell the card, which is not big money because they only get a few dollars for each one, they do not buy 100 or so iPhones at once,” he said.

“They use a lot of different cards at different times,” forcing the crooks to use randomization tools to thwart anti-fraud systems that would spot if all the purchases, even those made with different cards, are being done on the same computer. (BBC)

Storey, senior fellow with Yusof Ishak Institute in Singapore, warned that changes to the nine-dash line may undermine regional stability.

Fadi al-Batsh, a “Scientist of Palestine’s youth scholars”, a “loyal” member of Hamas, and well known to be an expert on drones and rockets was gunned down by two men on a motorcycle who fired 10 shots as he walked to morning prayers in Kuala Lumpur. A Malaysian official said the suspects and victim may have worked for intelligence agencies, prompting concern that he may have been assassinated.

The police chief said video footage from CCTV cameras near the scene of the shooting showed that two suspects waited for nearly 20 minutes in the area before attacking.

“We believe the lecturer was their target because two other individuals walked by the place earlier unharmed,” he said. “We will view the recordings of all the CCTV in the area to identify the suspects and get the registration number of the motorcycle.”

Batsh’s uncle, Jamal al-Batsh believed his nephew was killed by Israel’s espionage service.

ABOARD LIAONING AIRCRAFT CARRIER, April 21

A Chinese navy formation featuring aircraft carrier Liaoning conducted confrontation exercises in the West Pacific, including missile destroyers, J-15 fighters, and shipboard helicopters, in a drill that aims to test the combat operation of the formation in high seas.

The exercise focused on the joint operation of vessels and shipboard aircraft in unfamiliar seas tested the establishment and maintenance of the formation’s attack and defense system and has achieved expected goals, according to Gao Zhaorui, chief of staff of the formation.
