A rabbi told reporters about the synagogue shooting near San Diego on Saturday, in which one woman died and three people were wounded, as he held up his hands to shield himself just to have his fingers “get blown away”, with the 19-year-old shooter identified as John Earnest arrested shortly afterwards in Poway, north of the Californian city.

Rabbi Goldstein was walking into the banquet hall at the synagogue when he heard a noise, what he thought initially was a table falling over or a congregation member collapsing

“As soon as he saw me, he started to shoot toward me and that is when I put my hands up,” Rabbi Goldstein said on NBC’s Sunday Today program.

The attack came exactly six months after a shooting in Pittsburgh in which 11 people were killed, thought to be the worst anti-Semitic attack in recent US history.

The China pavilion not only boasts wonderful gardening but also demonstrates the country’s willingness to pursue a green life and share the benefits of development with the rest of the world, said Mr.Xi.

The foreign guests, coming for the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Beijing, were received by Xi and Peng at the China pavilion of the expo park and introduced to different exhibitions featuring characteristic plants and unique gardening arts presented by various regions.

According to Orthodox tradition, the “Holy Fire” is a miracle that occurs every year at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on Holy Saturday, the day preceding Orthodox Easter, and the “Holy Fire” was delivered to Moscow from Jerusalem on an aircraft that has recently landed in Vnukovo International Airport, and taken to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, where the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, leads the festive Easter service.

The service is attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin. Putin visited all Easter services at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior while being the president of Russia, except in 2003 when he had an official visit to Tajikistan.

1…………> Nine-Trey Hitman Busted: Murders


A member of the Nine Trey Gangsters, identified as Anthony Foye, 26, of Suffolk, Virginia, a street gang with members in states across the East Coast that is affiliated with the United Blood Nation, was sentenced today in the Eastern District of Virginia to life in prison for his role in four murders and several additional non-fatal shootings.

In elevating his membership in the gang, Foye murdered Al-Tariq Tynes, Vandalet Mercer, Linda Lassiter, and Wayne Davis, shot into a residence in Portsmouth, Virginia and shot several other individuals across South Hampton Roads, Virginia.

 

Foye pleaded guilty on Sept. 8, 2017, to four counts of murder in aid of racketeering activity, and faced a mandatory life sentence on each count.

“Ten individuals suffered minor injuries following a large fire lit as part of local Jewish community celebration in Ravensdale Road, Stamford Hill,” Hackney Police said on Twitter.

Five members of the Mad Stone Bloods (MSB) gang were sentenced for their roles in a criminal conspiracy that involved the smuggling of drugs and other contraband into Virginia prisons, and the facilitation of the sale of drugs outside the prisons, with the help of complicit corrections officers. 



“Gangs that operate out of our prison systems not only bring drugs and violence into prison facilities – they also breed drug-fueled violence in our communities,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Cronan. “The Criminal Division will continue to work together with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to ensure that these career criminals and those who conspire with them are brought to justice.”



On May 1, Terrance Nathaniel Brown, aka War, 29, was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison on a drug conspiracy conviction. Clifford Alexander Jennings, aka Big Cliff, 48, of Salem, Virginia, was sentenced to serve 12 years in prison on narcotics conspiracy offenses. Ronnie Monroe Nicholas Jr., aka RG, 37, of Crewe, Virginia, was sentenced to serve 12 years in prison on a racketeering conspiracy conviction. Michael Jamal Jones, aka M. Stone, 30, of Brooklyn, New York, was sentenced to serve 41 months in prison on a drug conspiracy conviction. Jermaine Shiquill Epps, aka Money, 28, of Madison Heights, Virginia, was sentenced to serve 24 months in prison on a drug conspiracy conviction.

China’s base in Djibouti is the first overseas military facility for Beijing,  located on the Horn of Africa, one of a network of naval and air bases in and around the Indian Ocean as Mr.Xi works on creating a military capable of force projection and increased global influence.

In a thinly disguised whiff of hostility, Chinese military personnel is using lasers to target American military flight crews over Djibouti, several multiple laser-related incidents that occurred over the past several weeks leading to minor eye injuries due to a laser beam aimed at their C-130 turboprop.

Chinese officials have previously complained about foreign military planes flying over its outpost in Djibouti, the report said.

The Justice Department today announced the seizure of Backpage.com, the Internet’s leading forum for prostitution ads, including ads depicting the prostitution of children. Additionally, seven individuals have been charged in a 93-count federal indictment with the crimes of conspiracy to facilitate prostitution using a facility in interstate or foreign commerce, facilitating prostitution using a facility in interstate or foreign commerce, conspiracy to commit money laundering, concealment money laundering, international promotional money laundering, and transactional money laundering.

The seven defendants charged in the indictment are Michael Lacey, 69, of Paradise Valley, Arizona; James Larkin, 68, of Paradise Valley, Arizona; Scott Spear, 67, of Scottsdale, Arizona; John E. “Jed” Brunst, 66, of Phoenix, Arizona; Daniel Hyer, 49, of Dallas, Texas; Andrew Padilla, 45, of Plano, Texas and Jaala Joye Vaught, 37, of Addison, Texas.

“For far too long, Backpage.com existed as the dominant marketplace for illicit commercial sex, a place where sex traffickers frequently advertised children and adults alike,” said Attorney General Sessions. “But this illegality stops right now. President Trump described an FBI raid on the offices and home of his personal lawyer Michael Cohen is “an attack on our country”, under a search warrant for campaign violations and bank fraud concerning his payment of $130,000 to call girl Stormy Daniels.

“The decision by the US Attorney’s Office in New York to conduct their investigation using search warrants is completely inappropriate and unnecessary,” Mr. Ryan said in a statement.

“It resulted in the unnecessary seizure of protected attorney-client communications between a lawyer and his clients.”

When asked if he would fire Mr. Mueller, Mr. Trump said: “we’ll see what happens”.
