    Turkey has shown it is a democratic state with an impartial and independent judiciary,  following Friday’s ruling on U.S. pastor Andrew Brunson’s release, who was sentenced to three years and 45 days in prison, but he will not serve the time in jail. The court credited his time spent in detention and ended his house arrest and travel ban.
    “Today’s court ruling on Andrew Brunson reaffirmed that Turkey is a democratic country with the rule of law, and established the independence and impartiality of the Turkish judiciary,” Fahrettin Altun said in a statement.
    “Like the Turkish courts, the Republic of Turkey does not receive instructions from anybody, authority, office or person. We make our own rules and make our own decisions that reflect our will,” he added. Altun said that Turkey monitored U.S. efforts to “mount pressure on Turkey’s independent court system for some time,” stating that Turkey “has been subject to various threats of sanctions.”
    Reaffirming President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s stance against the threats, Altun said that Erdogan “urged all parties to respect the court’s final decision.”

    The Turkish government has told U.S. officials that there are video and audio recordings that reveal killing of missing Saudi journalist inside the consulate in Istanbul.
    “The recordings show that a Saudi security team detained Khashoggi in the consulate after he walked on Oct. 2 to obtain an official document before his upcoming wedding, then killed him and dismembered his body, the officials said.
    Jamal Khashoggi has been missing since Oct. 2, when he visited the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, and Saudi authorities have yet to give a clear explanation on the fate of Khashoggi as several countries — notably Turkey, the U.S., and the U.K. — press for clarification.
    A Washington Post article said that the audio recording “provides some of the most persuasive and gruesome evidence that the Saudi team is responsible for Khashoggi’s death.”
    “The voice recording from inside the embassy lays out what happened to Jamal after he entered. You can hear his voice and the voices of men speaking Arabic.
    “You can hear how he was interrogated, tortured and then murdered,” told a source on the condition of anonymity.

    Rogue drones have been used in a lot of criminal activity already, from offensive weapons, drugs delivery to prisoners, to spy on people  and ultimately threaten aircraft safety as this summer a packed Airbus A321 came within 100ft of disaster after encountering a drone at 15,500ft.
    And the number of near-misses of this sort has trebled over the last three years, with 92 incidents reported in the previous year in the UK alone. Dozens were classified as involving a severe chance of a collision.
    “We see an increase in reported incidents,” says a spokesman for the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). UK drone users face safety tests or fines Drones used to disrupt FBI hostage case
    “A lot tend to be away from the airport, but some are very close, and we see them particularly around London.” Drones are also being used by so-called Islamic State in Syria and Iraq as offensive weapons. On one occasion, a small number of drones carrying hand grenades were able to take out an entire Russian weapons depot. And criminals and their associates have been using them to smuggle drugs and phones into prisons in the UK.
