SEATTLE, Wash. – A 36-year-old resident of Tulalip, Washington, was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in Seattle to 85 months in prison for four federal felonies related to illegal gun possession and trafficking, announced Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Seattle Debra Parker and U.S. Attorney Brian T. Moran announced, as Hany Veletanlic, a citizen of Bosnia legally residing in the United States, was found guilty of violating the Arms Export Control Act, illegally possessing two unregistered silencers, and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Veletanlic was convicted in February 2019 following a two-day jury trial. At sentencing, U.S. District Judge James L. Robart said that Veletanlic had run an illegal “lucrative business” and taken “quite sophisticated steps” to hide his conduct. The Court emphasized that sending guns to countries with restrictions on guns was very serious conduct.

Sports fans from around the world, who’ve spent their hard-earned money to support their favorite NFL team, deserve to receive genuine, high-quality officially licensed merchandise in return,” said HSI-led IPR Center Director Steve Francis.

“Operation Team Player remains one of the most important national initiatives for protecting sports fans from the sale of counterfeit products and counterfeit tickets. Gabbard slammed Clinton with a $50 million defamation lawsuit over the former first lady’s October 2019 comments in a podcast during which she accused the Hawaii congresswoman and former Green Party candidate Jill Stein of being “Russian assets.” The congresswoman’s lawyers initially demanded the former first lady retract her comments, but Clinton refused, after which Gabbard chose to move forward with the suit.

Special HSI Agent Seattle Debra Parker and U.S. Attorney Bryan Schroder announced that a man, identified as Abel Cruz-Perez, 24, of Anchorage, was sentenced 33 months to federal prison for distributing methamphetamine, and for laundering drug proceeds through an auto loan for his Mercedes Benz, and in addition pleading guilty to one count of money laundering and one count of distribution of methamphetamine.

Cruz-Perez knowingly distributed 50 grams or more of methamphetamine to another individual, and previously, on Dec. 8, 2014, Cruz-Perez also attempted to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute it to another individual.

The investigations was initiated after someone began killing farm animals back in November 2019, some of which had the Satanic pentagram painted on them.
Hampshire police reportedly arrested the man yesterday on suspicion of six counts of criminal damage after the slain animals had been discovered in the New Forest area to the far south of England. The string of sheep killings began back on 25 November 2019, when the body of one was discovered with deep stab wounds and Satanic symbols sprayed onto its body. Several cows were also said to have been wounded in the same area.

An Indiana man identified as Tochukwu Nwosisi, 47 of Indianapolis, was arrested in connection with allegations that he laundered the proceeds of an international advance-fee scheme through a used-car dealership he owned and operated. The scam allegedly involved false promises of investment funding by individuals impersonating U.S. bank officials to victims around the world, who were told they had to make certain payments before they could supposedly receive their funding. In some cases, the perpetrators allegedly met with the victims at local U.S. embassies or consulates and fabricated U.S. government documents to make the victims believe the U.S. government was sponsoring the investment agreements. Proceeds of the scheme were allegedly laundered through U.S. bank accounts and diverted back to the scheme’s perpetrators in Nigeria.

According to the superseding indictment, Nwosisi owned and operated a used car dealership in Indianapolis called Indyrides LLC. As part of his alleged involvement in the conspiracy, Nwosisi received international and domestic wire transfers from victims of the advance-fee scheme into his business bank accounts. The victims were under the impression that such payments were necessary to receive their investment funding. Nwosisi allegedly used the victims’ payments to, among other things, pay himself a portion of the funds and purchase vehicles that he then shipped to the scheme’s perpetrators in Nigeria. As banks closed his accounts for suspicious activity, Nwosisi continued to open new bank accounts to receive payments from victims.
