The Office of the Inspector General Michael Horowitz has referred its findings of its investigation on former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe to the US attorney in Washington for possible criminal prosecution, which must take into account by his recently fired boss Mr. James Comey who said that doesn’t recall Mr. McCabe had said he authorized officials to communicate with a reporter, a statement that could have an impact on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
Responding to the report, Mr. McCabe said that repeated calls by Mr. Trump to fire him created an unfair rush to judgment, emphasizing that he was authorized to share the information with reporters, and never intentionally mislead anyone.
