President’s Trump senior advisers expressed concern over recent remarks by US DNI Daniel Coats on the Putin-Trump summit, which they said could be seen as a personal betrayal and Coats’ attempt to make fun of the US leader, saying that “Coats has gone rogue.”

Coats said during his interview with the anti-Trump, “Fake News” NBC network that he would have advised Trump against high-level talks with Vladimir Putin, then being surprised when he was told that the White House had invited Putin for a visit this fall.

“I don’t know what happened in that [Trump-Putin] meeting. I think as time goes by, and the president has already mentioned some things that happened in that meeting. I think we will learn more. But that is the president’s prerogative,” Coats noted.

While the NATO meeting in Brussels was an acknowledged triumph, with billions of dollars more being put up by member countries at a faster pace, the meeting with Russia may prove to be, in the long run, an even greater success. Many positive things will come out of that meeting..

In a cancer breakthrough in the annals of medicine, Australian researchers have developed “the world’s first” blood test to detect early-stage melanoma, a development that they said could save thousands of lives and millions of dollars in healthcare costs.

Lead researcher from Edith Cowan University said the blood test could help doctors detect the skin cancer at early stages when it is more easily treatable.

“Patients who have their melanoma detected in its early stage have a five-year survival rate between 90 and 99 percent, whereas if it is not caught early and it spreads around the body, the five-year survival rate drops to less than 50%,” lead researcher Pauline Zaenker said in a statement.

Melanoma is usually identified by doctors visually and suspected skin cancers are excised and biopsied.
