The European Commission alleged that Google had used the mobile operating system to illegally “cement its dominant position in general internet search”, giving the firm’s parent Alphabet has been given 90 days to change its business practices or face further penalties of up to 5% of its average daily turnover, and pay a record fine of $5bn, just a kick in the pants for a fat cat sitting on $100 billion in cash.

Google was previously fined $2.8bn over a separate probe into its shopping comparison service – a ruling the tech firm is in the process of appealing against.

According to market reports, a third of all pecans grown in the United States are sold in China, but now the Mr.Trump tariffs are threatening to cause massive damage, leaving farmers to wonder if they can survive the economy of a President that promised to make America not only great but wealthy as well, something that is more and more looking like an obscene lie.

The United States added a 25% tariff on 34 billion U.S. dollars’ worth of Chinese imports, claiming that an additional tariff on 200 billion dollars worth of goods is in the pipeline, forcing Beijing to reciprocate, hitting U.S. products, including pecans.

4………> Russian Lunar Horse: Heavy Rocket

 

Russia plans to launch a new super-heavy carrier rocket in 2027, Dmitry Rogozin, according to the director general of Russia’s Roscosmos State Space Corporation for Space Activities.

The new vehicle will be used to deliver cargoes to a future lunar station, and
expected to carry payloads of up to 90 tons to low earth orbit and up to 20 tons to lunar orbit.

The brother of Charlie Rowley, who is in critical condition after being poisoned by the A-234 nerve pathogen, has disclosed that the deceased Dawn Sturgess had sprayed herself with perfume from a small bottle spiked with the so-called Novichok nerve agent, used against former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in neighboring Salisbury.

 

According to Charlie Rowley,  he could vaguely recollect “there being an odd ammonia-type smell from the perfume.”


The man remembered that he and Dawn had picked up the bottle, but couldn’t tell his brother where exactly it happened. (BBC)

World’s greatest aviatrix Amelia Earhart disappeared during an attempted flight around the world in her Lockheed Electra plane in 1937, and the search for her and her navigator Fred Noonan has captivated the public for decades, until now as the University of Tennessee forensic anthropologist Richard Jantz has come with new interpretations of the measurements that suggest that bones found on a western Pacific Ocean Nikumaroro Island in 1940 are likely to be hers. 

Analysis showed “the bones are consistent with Earhart in all respects we know or can reasonably infer,” he wrote in a journal article.

About 180 military personnel have been deployed to Salisbury to help in the investigation into the attempted murder of an ex-Russian spy and his daughter, including instructors from the Defence Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Centre and the 29th Explosive Ordnance Group, who are experts in bomb disposal.
