HONOLULU – A Big Island man, identified as Jonathan Tai, 36, of Kurtistown, appeared in U.S. District Court Monday to face methamphetamine and firearm charges, following an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Hawaiʻi County Police, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, after being arrested at his home, following the execution of a search warrant at that location:
“Mr. Tai is a clear danger to our community,” said John F. Tobon, Special Agent in Charge for HSI Honolulu.
“I’m proud of the diligent work by our agents and the cooperation of our federal, state, and local partners to bring these charges.”
