“Now is a time to pull together for the people of California,” Governor Brown tweeted as he and his successor Gavin Newsom, both Democrats who have sparred with Mr. Trump over the wildfires, immigration, sanctuary cities and host of other liberal policies, met their sworn enemy to help thousands of people who are fighting relentless fires, death, and homelessness.

The Camp Fire, in northern California has killed at least 71 people, with more than 1,000 people are reported to be missing, although officials say that figure could fluctuate. The Jewish Democratic Council of America condemned this decision, stating:

“So-called Messianic Jews are not a part of the Jewish community, and espouse views considered deeply offensive.”

Jesus was Jewish, but only Christians view him as the Messiah, and Hebrew scholars and philosophers argue Jesus is a ‘false messiah’ because he didn’t fulfill messianic prophecies, such as building the Third Temple in Israel and ushering in an era of peace.

The death toll in wildfires in the state of California rose to 50, with the Camp Fire surpassing state records, becoming the most deadly and most destructive fire the state has ever seen by burning 130,000 acres, at least 8,800 structures and killing 48 people.

“This the deadliest fire in the wildland fire history of the United States,” said Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea at a news conference.

Two people were also killed in the Woolsey Fire in southern California as it tore through the affluent neighborhoods of Malibu and burned more than 97,000 acres and destroyed at least 435 structures. Repopulation notices were given to some residents in the areas affected by the fire. However, they may not have homes to return to.

Before entering the United States on June 16, 2017, while in Canada, Ftouhi conducted online research of American gun laws and for gun shows in Michigan. Ftouhi subsequently traveled to Michigan where he was unsuccessful in repeated attempts to purchase a gun and purchased a knife instead. On June 20, 2017, Ftouhi walked up to the victim, who is a lieutenant with the Flint Bishop Airport police and was in full uniform, and stabbed the police officer in the neck twice with a knife. Ftouhi referenced killings in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and yelled “Allahu Akbar.” After his arrest, Ftouhi told law enforcement that he was a “soldier of Allah,” subscribed to the ideology of Al Qaeda and Usama bin Laden and that he had planned to kill the victim, steal his gun, and kill other police officers in the airport.

Authorities say 14 additional bodies have been recovered in northern California, bringing the total death toll from massive blazes raging across the state to 25. The Hill and Woolsey fires near Los Angeles have destroyed more than 150 homes and prompted evacuation orders for more than 250,000 people, including the entire city of Malibu, home to many Hollywood celebrities. But an expected narrow window of calm is giving firefighters hope of slowing the flames that have marched a path of destruction toward the sea, burning everything from mobile homes to mansions. Winds that drove the flames through bone-dry hills and canyons north are expected to die down until Sunday then they would build again to nearly 60 miles/hour with even higher gusts, forecasters predicted. The lull on Saturday could give firefighters a chance to control the edges of the blazes and to swap fire crews, replacing firefighters who have worked for two days without rest, Los Angeles County fire chief Daryl Osby said.
