The other major indices did not fare much better. The benchmark S&P 500 dropped 12 per cent to 2,386 points, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq fell 12.3 per cent to 6,905.

Johns Hopkins University researchers disclosed that there have been over 4,600 confirmed cases of new corona-virus (COVI-19) in the United States, with at least 85 deaths recorded, hence not surprisingly the US House of Representatives unanimously passed the revised corona-virus emergency bill and sent it to the Senate for approval,

The bill is supposed to reduce the corona-virus’ impact on the US economy. It originally passed on Saturday but had to be brought back to the House floor due to a formality.
Meanwhile, President Trump’s administration released guidelines for 15 days of coordinated action by Americans to stem the spread of the COVI-19 novel corona-virus. The plan includes staying home when sick or if in a vulnerable category such as the elderly, practicing good hygiene such as washing hands and avoiding touching one’s face.
As the outbreak continues in the US, several states have ordered the closures of schools, bars, restaurants, food courts, and shopping areas and imposed restrictions on the gatherings of more than 50 individuals
The US economy has also suffered from the COVI-19 pandemic, as the Dow plummeted by 2,997.10 points.

“If this monster was at the center of the Milky Way,” Wolf detailed, “it would likely make life on Earth impossible with the huge amounts of x-rays emanating from it.”
