Fifteen individuals were criminally charged by HSI probes illegal gambling in Honolulu in U.S. District Court, starting with illegal gambling, money laundering and other financial violations related to an ongoing investigation of a criminal organization operating multiple illegal game rooms and casinos on the island of Oahu.

The defendants were charged with conducting, financing, managing, supervising, directing, or owning an illegal gambling business operated out of a single-family residence from October 2018 to August 2019 at 1577 Hoolehua Street in Pearl City.

Additionally, one defendant was charged for the July 22, 2019 robbery-at-gunpoint at that address, after the customer won an estimated $4,000 playing an electronic video game.

Scores of ICE agents detained multiple people in the Bay Area in Northern California,  loitering “around movie theaters and taco trucks,” one day after the Oakland mayor Libby Schaaf announced imminent raids would take place.

 

“As Mayor of Oakland, I am sharing this information publicly not to panic our residents but to protect them,” Schaff wrote in her news release. She went on to provide information for “interested residents” to know more about their legal rights and options “in the event, they face detention or know someone who needs legal representation.”

Oakland public schools prohibit the city’s police officers to participate in ICE activities, and California state law requires federal agents to have a judicial warrant or subpoena before requesting people’s documents.

Short position at 24850 was covered for a gain of 50 DIA points, and new long position established at 24900, sell stop triggered at 25350 for a gain of 450 DIA points. New position short at 24950, cover shortstop 25,000 for a loss of 50 DIA points.
