A second whistleblower has come forward with information about President Trump’s dealings with Ukraine, as a lawyer says he has been interviewed by the intelligence community’s internal watchdog, but hasn’t filed an official complaint, and Secretary of State says his department will follow the law in terms of the impeachment investigation

Mark Zaid, who represents the original whistleblower, whose complaint has triggered the impeachment inquiry, said the second whistleblower also worked in intelligence, and had “firsthand knowledge that supported” the original accusations.

Mr. Trump and his supporters have rejected the accusations that he did anything improper.

An employee at the Paris police headquarters in the Islamic Sheikdom of France, who stabbed four colleagues to death in a frenzied attack, converted to “a radical vision of Islam”, had high-level security clearance, no police record and exchanged 33 text messages with his wife before the attack with the entire conversation focused on religion.

The 45-year-old computer expert had been in contact with members of Salafism, an ultra-conservative branch of Sunni Islam, and defended “atrocities committed in the name of that religion”, police spokesman Jean-Francois Ricard told reporters.

Three police officers and an administrative worker — three men and one woman — died in the lunchtime attack on Thursday at the police headquarters, near the Notre Dame cathedral in the historic heart of Paris.

The assailant, named as Mickael Harpon, was shot dead by a policeman who was a trainee at the police headquarters.

Six wild elephants have drowned after slipping off a waterfall in north eastern Thailand. Officials said they were trying to save a baby which fell over the edge. Two other were rescued which were found struggling on a rock nearby.
