President Trump hailed the  ‘American comeback’ in Congress speech, as Republicans chanted “four more years”, with  the president hopes a strong economy will win him re-election, a day on the eve of his expected acquittal in his impeachment trial.

At his annual State of the Union address, Mr. Trump set out a case for another four years in office.

The Republican president delivered Tuesday night’s nationally televised speech in the Democratic-controlled US House of Representatives, where he was impeached in December, but on the other side of the Capitol, the Republican-led Senate is all but certain to clear the president of corruption charges in a party-line vote.

The House speaker skipped the traditional introduction welcoming the president as a “distinct honor”, ripped up up a copy of the president’s speech at the end of his address, the first time Mr. Trump had come face to face with his stern political foe since she stormed out of a White House meeting four months ago, and he accused Democrats of planning to force American taxpayers to provide unlimited free healthcare to undocumented immigrants, Mrs. Pelosi was observed twice mouthing: “Not true.”

In an implicit rebuke to his predecessor infamous predecessor, our beloved 1st Muslim President, Grand Ayatollah Barack, “We must spread freedom around the world by reading our citizens email” Obama, Mr.Trump told his audience: “In just three short years, we have shattered the mentality of American decline and we have rejected the downsizing of America’s destiny.”

Buttigieg was exited by the outcome: “No matter what happens next, this much is undeniable, that fact represents an astonishing victory for this campaign, this candidacy and this vision that you all have been a part of,” the 38-year-old openly gay man told supporters.
