There are reports now of more than 1 million Uyghur’s are being detained in Mr.Xi’s re-education camps, July 5 marks the 10th anniversary of the Urumqi riots, which pitted Uyghur Muslims against Han Chinese on the streets of Xinjiang’s capital.

What unfolded a decade ago has had long-lasting consequences, with reports of more than 1 million Uyghur Muslims being detained in re-education camps and Xinjiang transforming into a surveillance state.

In late June 2009, a disgruntled worker posted a rumor online that a Han Chinese woman had been sexually assaulted by Uyghur migrant workers in a toy factory in Shaoguan, in China’s south-east.

The Chinese Embassy in Australia said the July 5 incident was a “serious and violent crime” that had partly been “plotted and incited” by outside forces and resulted in the loss of innocent lives.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy is leading an investigation into the tragic incident, but at the moment there is no information about the cause of the blaze.

At least 14 sailors aboard the Russian submarine died in the fire due to smoke inhalation.

The Defence Ministry stated that the blaze had erupted on Monday while the deep-sea military submersible, designed to research the bottom of the sea, was running biometric tests in Russian territorial waters.

“Thanks to the selfless actions of the team, the fire was put out”, the ministry said in a statement.

The Russian Investigative Committee has said it had launched an investigation into the deadly fire.

At the moment, the deep-sea vehicle is placed in Severomorsk, which is the main administrative base of the Russian Northern Fleet.

“This is the most different-looking killer whale I’ve ever seen,” said Robert Pitman, a NOAA marine ecologist in San Diego who was part of the team that spotted the orcas off Cape Horn at the tip of South America.

Fishermen have complained for years about how good the different orcas are at poaching off fishing lines, snatching 180 pounds fish away.
