After an  inspection in 2018 engineer’s report highlighted “a major error” in the original design of the apartment block that collapsed near Miami, Florida, an error which has just been made public, alleging the fault prevented water draining from the base of the seafront Champlain Towers, hence part of the building collapsed last week while many residents slept.
Hopes are fading for the 159 people still unaccounted for, and so far, five deaths have been confirmed.

Four people have been killed and one more is in a critical condition following a hot air balloon hitting a power line in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after the basket the passengers were riding in detached from the balloon and crashed, as witnesses described seeing the balloon fall to the ground in a completely deflated state. The incident cut off power to more than 13,000 people in the area, and the balloon hit the power line just after 07:00 (13:00 GMT) on the weekend, according to police spokesman.

In “No New UFO News” the US government has said it has no explanation for dozens of unidentified flying objects seen by military pilots, after a Pentagon report released about the 144 reports made about the phenomena since 2004, all but one remain unexplained, as does not rule out the possibility that the objects are extra-terrestrial.
Congress demanded the report after the US military reported numerous instance of objects seen moving erratically in the sky.

The attack in the Bavarian city that left three people dead forced investigators to look into whether was driven by psychiatric problems or radicalization, and the suspect in southern Germany gruesome crime has been remanded in custody on suspicion of murder.

Several airstrikes hit ground targets on the Syrian-Iraqi border on Saturday, as the attack inflicted material damage, but there is no information on casualties among Syrian military personnel,  the strikes were carried out by the Israeli Air Force targeting a car.

On 11 February, a convoy reportedly carrying Iranian weapons came under a similar attack while crossing the Syrian-Iraqi border near Abu Kamal in the east of Deir ez-Zor province.
