Hate crimes against Asian Americans skyrocketed last year, rising by nearly 150 percent in 16 major American cities, as the NYPD is searching for a man who assaulted a 65-year-old woman on Monday while making “anti-Asian statements”, the unidentified male approached the Asian lady shortly before noon in Midtown Manhattan, kicked her to the ground and repeatedly stomped on the woman’s head. It is said the lady, who is now being treated a local hospital, was on her way to church when attacked.

The incident was caught on nearby security cameras, causing outrage among journalists and observers, who pointed out that a witness and security guards in a nearby building did nothing to stop the assailant, while one of the building’s staffers had simply closed the door on the victim as she was laying on the ground following the assailant casually walking away from his victim.

The cherry blossoms, “sakura” in Japanese, last only for a few days, but their appearance is tremendously important, both economically and culturally, as friends and family get together, and Instagram is awash with pictures, and this year has peaked at the earliest date since records began 1,200 years ago, according to historical records.

The 2021 season in the city of Kyoto peaked on 26 March, according to data collected by Osaka University. Increasingly early flowerings in recent decades are likely to be as a result of climate change, scientists say. The records from Kyoto go back to 812 AD in imperial court documents and diaries.

The previous record there was set in 1409, when the season reached its peak on 27 March.

“The Department of Justice will continue to vigorously prosecute violent threats motivated by bias,” she confirmed that the past statement by Tabizada regarding Visitation Prep, the oldest Catholic school for girls in the country, would begin publishing same-sex wedding announcements in its alumni magazine to advance its teaching that “we are all children of God … worthy of respect and love” policy, threatening violence in response to the school’s decision, burn and bomb the church,  kill school officials and students, warning that she would commit “terrorism.”

She pleaded guilty to transmitting highly sensitive classified national defense information to a foreign national who she believed would provide the information to Lebanese Hizballah, a designated foreign terrorist organization:

“Thompson jeopardized the lives of members of the U.S. military as well as other individuals supporting the United States in a combat zone when she passed classified information to a person she knew was connected to Lebanese Hizballah, a foreign terrorist organization which intended to use the information to hurt this country,” said Assistant Attorney General John C. Demers for the Justice Department’s National Security Division. 

“To describe this conduct is to condemn it. She will now be held to account for this disgraceful personal and professional betrayal of country and colleagues.”
