The selection of vaccines against COVID-19 is now especially urgent in Europe after the suspension of the AstraZeneca drug over reported adverse effects, hence is no surprise a spokesman for the Russian embassy in Vienna reported that a delegation of the Russian Direct Investment Fund had held talks with Kurz on possible deliveries of Sputnik V:

“Concerning Sputnik V and other vaccines, I strongly insist that the relevant EU bodies issue an authorization for all safe vaccines as soon as possible. The more vaccines we have, the best situation is,” Kurz disclosed this week, adding that the country might get the Russian vaccine for the massive vaccination.

Mr. Kurz  has indicated previously readiness to get inoculated with the Russian vaccine, if it is approved by the EU, mentioning that there should be no “geopolitical taboos” in the European Union when it comes to the approval of COVID-19 vaccines developed in Russia or China, and all available, effective and registered vaccines were important in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the European Medicines Agency still reviewing Sputnik V, two EU nations — Hungary and Slovakia — have already approved the Russian vaccine via national emergency procedures.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — A federal jury convicted a Belize citizen March 11, for using a fraudulent United States Permanent Resident Card and a fake Social Security card (listing a Social Security number not assigned to him) while applying for a “Real ID” identification card at a Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles office in Henderson, Nevada.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Social Security Administration’s Office of the Inspector General and the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Compliance Enforcement Division (CED).

“DMV’s officers highly value our collaboration with Homeland Security Investigations in our ensuring the integrity of government-issued identity documents and prosecuting offenders, ” added JD Decker, chief of the Nevada DMV CED, a state of Nevada law enforcement agency that investigates cases of document fraud and identity theft that involve the use of DMV processes.

Russia had summoned its Washington ambassador to Moscow for consultations on its ties with the United States, but stressed it wanted to prevent an “irreversible deterioration” in relations, following US President “Uncle” Joe, “Sleeping under a wrong sky” Biden statement that Russia would “pay a price” for meddling in US elections and he agreed with the assessment that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin is a “killer”:

“The Russian ambassador in Washington, Anatoly Antonov, has been invited to come to Moscow for consultations conducted with the aim of analyzing what should be done and where to go in the context of ties with the United States,” Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement.

Zakharova said the most important thing for Moscow was to determine how to mend Russian-US ties “that have essentially been driven by Washington into a dead end in recent years”.
