On Jan, 29, 2020, ERO Miami/Tampa and HSI Tampa assisted the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) with an investigation of a missing/endangered child. Alfredo Mendoza-Mendez, 24, a citizen and national of Guatemala was suspected by Hillsborough County Child Protective Services of child endangerment/abuse against a minor. Local authorities had checked several possible locations and were unable to locate Mendoza-Mendez or the minor victim.
After HCSO reached out to ICE for support, an HSI special agent and ERO deportation officer were able to conduct record checks through ICE databases, and Their research determined Mendoza-Mendez had multiple immigration encounters and he had previously provided an address in Pennsylvania that was unknown to local law enforcement.

A witness in Julian Assange’s extradition hearing alleges that President Trump offered the Wikileaks founder a pardon, if he said Russia was not involved in leaking emails during the US election, as blogger’s barrister revealed the claim at Westminster Magistrates’ Court ahead of an extradition hearing next week.
Judge Vanessa Baraitser ruled the witness’s evidence admissible, but The White House said the claim is “a complete fabrication and a total lie” and s facing extradition to the US on 18 charges over leaked diplomatic cables up to 175 years in prison if found guilty.
His barrister, Edward Fitzgerald QC, told the court there was evidence alleging that former US Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher made the pardon offer while visited the Ecuadorian embassy in August 2017, where Mr. Assange was staying.

The Pentagon’s inspector general has found that $715.8 million in weapons destined for the “Vetted Syrian Opposition” in fiscal years 2017 and 2018 are missing- the group which is part of Combined Joint Task Force-OIR (CJTF-OIR), and the US military’s mission in Syria – failed to properly account for nearly $716 million in weapons procured for distribution to US-backed rebels fighting against the Syrian government not maintaining comprehensive lists of all equipment purchased and received, the weapons were stored improperly, allowing them to rust and leaving them vulnerable to theft.
The report notes that personnel with 1st Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) “did not properly store or secure CTEF-S [Counter-Islamic State of Iraq and Syria Train and Equip Fund] equipment at the BPC [Building Partners Capacity] Kuwait warehouse in accordance with DoD guidance, Army regulations, or SOJTF-OIR standard operating procedures.
