Beto, Booker, Clinton’s Lapdogs & Co Democratic presidential contenders criticized President Trump for promoting a conspiracy theory about the apparent suicide of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein in his New York jail cell.

After Saturday’s death of Mr. Epstein,  Mr. Trump retweeted a claim from a conservative comedian that Mr. Clinton was involved in the death, drawing criticism from Beto O’Rourke, a former congressman from Texas, speaking on CNN’s State of the Union.

Mr. Trump had retweeted Terrence K. Williams, who said Mr. Epstein “had information on Bill Clinton & now he’s dead”, and Cory Booker, a US senator from New Jersey, naturally said Mr Trump’s retweet was “just more recklessness”.

Several women who say they were sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein have spoken of their anger and disappointment that the disgraced financier will never face justice after his apparent suicide in prison.

Mr. Epstein was on Saturday found unresponsive in his cell, where he was awaiting trial after being charged with sexual offences involving dozens of underage girls from at least 2002 to 2005.

On Friday, more than 2,000 pages of documents were released related to a since-settled defamation lawsuit against Mr Epstein’s ex-girlfriend by Ms. Giuffre.

Several of the women who have made the claims against him said they were disappointed he would not face the justice system.

Jennifer Araoz, who came forward after the charges were filed in July, said she was angered by Mr Epstein’s suicide.(ABC.AU)

Hong Kong police have once again clashed with anti-government protesters as the city enters its 10th week of mass demonstrations and unrest, being filmed firing rubber bullets at close range inside a subway station, while other officers were seen beating people with batons on an escalator.

Two months of demonstrations sparked by a controversial extradition bill show no signs of abating, with both sides hardening their stance, and in the Wan Chai district, Molotov coctails and bricks were thrown at riot police who responded by charging at protesters with batons.

Police fired tear gas across the city on Sunday night, including into an enclosed railway station.

Russia’s media oversight agency has demanded Google take action to stop the spread of information about illegal mass protests, as “YouTube” channels live-streamed one of Russia’s biggest demos on Saturday.

Norway’s police reported that a “young white man” was “citizen arrested” following an armed attack at the al-Noor Islamic Centre near the country’s capital, as members of the congregation had overpowered the gunman and stopped the shooting.

An older man was lightly injuries in the attack, but it is not clear if the wounds were caused by the gunshots or sustained during the attempt to restrain the gunman.

“A young woman was found dead at the suspect’s address,” Assistant Chief of police Rune Skjold told a news conference, adding that the man was suspected of murder, as suspicions rose that he may also have killed a relative before launching the attack.

The 20-year-old suspected attacker appeared to have acted alone, the police said.

China mobilized hundreds of thousands in a dramatic rescue effort, following  the powerful typhoon Lekima that slammed into, then meandered through the country’s east coast.

A total of 32 people died and 16 remain missing after the ninth and strongest typhoon of the year landed around 1:45 a.m. Saturday in the city of Wenling in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province, with sustained winds of 120 miles per hour that  brought heavy rainstorms. Zhejiang is often hit by typhoons in the summer, but Lekima is among top three strongest to have hit the province in history, weather experts said.

“Lekima is like a horse with an extremely fierce temper. It rakes in so much water as it forms off the ocean. Sustained downpours pushed a lot of rivers to very dangerous levels,” said Luo Yuezhen, a top meteorologist with the Zhejiang weather service center.
