Being in the spy business in the times of CCTV on every possible place has become even more challenging, if not impossible, that is according to CIA science & technology deputy director Dawn Meyerriecks who said that the agency faces a number of problems related to closed-circuit cameras, social media, smartphones and other wireless technology which have made it possible for its agents to get tracked by adversaries from behind a computer screen.

He admitted that the CCTV and wireless infrastructure in about 30 countries around the world has now reached a level where counterintelligence services no longer need to physically track CIA assets to get a bead on their location.

A duck or pair of ducks have been caught by the same speed camera flying at more than 20 kilometers per hour over the speed limit, and the felons are still at large, qualifying for a one-month driving ban and a hefty fine dependent on defendant’s yearly income, according to the Swiss police.

“The duck was traveling in a low-altitude flight at 52 kilometers per hour in a 30-kilometer zone,” local police said in a statement accompanying a picture of the airborne speed fiend.

In a blatant disregard of international law and freedom of navigation, and an arrogant attempt to nullify the ruling by an arbitrage tribunal ruling regarding pirating  lands of sovereign states, China’s will establish control over vast territories of the South China Sea by using a new draft boundary that would claim the right to a wide range of activities in the area, including fishing, natural resources extraction and the construction of military installations.


“If China does indicate its claims in the South China Sea with a continuous line which joins up the nine dashes, it would represent a complete repudiation of the July 2016 arbitrage tribunal ruling,” Dr Ian J. Storey, senior fellow with Yusof Ishak Institute in Singapore, warned that changes to the nine-dash line may undermine regional stability.

Fadi al-Batsh, a “Scientist of Palestine’s youth scholars”, a “loyal” member of Hamas, and well known to be an expert on drones and rockets was gunned down by two men on a motorcycle who fired 10 shots as he walked to morning prayers in Kuala Lumpur. A Malaysian official said the suspects and victim may have worked for intelligence agencies, prompting concern that he may have been assassinated.

The police chief said video footage from CCTV cameras near the scene of the shooting showed that two suspects waited for nearly 20 minutes in the area before attacking.

“We believe the lecturer was their target because two other individuals walked by the place earlier unharmed,” he said. “We will view the recordings of all the CCTV in the area to identify the suspects and get the registration number of the motorcycle.”

Batsh’s uncle, Jamal al-Batsh believed his nephew was killed by Israel’s espionage service.

Refik Turan, head of the Turkish Historical Society, said that war is an inevitable fact of life, and evidence shows that some 12.5 million Muslims have been killed in wars during the last 25 years.

“Usually war is between two states, but there are wars within the country as well. The results of a war cannot be predicted. Wars are a fact of our lives,” he said at the “World Wars, Turkey and Syria on Unending Struggles for Power” conference.

“According to a recent research, the number of Muslims who died in the fights and wars in the world in the last 25 years have reached 12.5 million. This almost accounts for the losses in a World War.”

Dr. Turan also said that the U.S., Russia, and Iran do not want peace in Syria, and the net result is evident.

A Chinese navy formation featuring aircraft carrier Liaoning conducted confrontation exercises in the West Pacific, including missile destroyers, J-15 fighters, and shipboard helicopters, in a drill that aims to test the combat operation of the formation in high seas.

The exercise focused on the joint operation of vessels and shipboard aircraft in unfamiliar seas tested the establishment and maintenance of the formation’s attack and defense system and has achieved expected goals, according to Gao Zhaorui, chief of staff of the formation.

Many have been targeted for opposing drug cartels — or conspiring with them, and all this outrage during the infamous administration by boyish-faced President Enrico Pena Nieto, according to local talking heads.

 

The implications?

“Narco-politics isn’t some vague threat. It’s a reality.” the investigative journalist Jose Reveles estimated that about 45% of all municipalities in Mexico are controlled by organized crime and that the numbers will only get worse.

Mexico has a “weak state, co-opted by the mafia,”  Citing a report by Global Financial Integrity, the country has “the third largest underground economy — after China and Russia,” according to Edgardo Buscaglia, the president of the Institute for Citizens Action in Mexico (IAC) and a research scholar of law and economics at Columbia University admitted.

The burning question: How long will it take for President Trump to realize that instead of worrying about the “DACA” crowd and building walls, he should simply occupy Mexico, crush the cartels and send all illegals back to point of origin?
