5…………> The Impossible Nightmare: US/China War

The last time that the United States fought North Korea during the 1950s, China intervened with a massive infusion of troops in a war that lasted for three years, with heavy casualties in the millions, especially on the communist North Korea and their supporters side.

Now after over 60 years of fragile peace, both China and the United States  are working the phones trying to prevent a recurrence of this catastrophe, yet one single miscalculation or a provocation by North Korea could lead to a world war.

3…………> A Cry For Help: Mexico’s Opium Country

As 30 Mexican soldiers were pulling opium poppy plants out of the ground with their bare hands in the heart of the mountain range known as the Sierra Tarahumara in Chihuahua, they also found a handwritten note, but it was not from the usual suspects containing ominous messages left next to slain bodies by cartel members. It was a plea for help:

“Please, don’t destroy them, I don’t even have any [money] to eat and my daughters don’t have shoes,” a misspelled message on a crumpled sheet of notebook paper cried man’s desperation.

But Evgeny Kim, a senior researcher at the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Center for Korean Studies disagreed but stated that DPRK can deal US superpower serious damage in the event of war like sinking the flagship carrier  USS Ronald Reagan located in the Sea of Japan by using all the capabilities of its current missile technology.
