1…………> “Fake Tax Returns”: Louisiana

According to an grand jury indictment, Aaron Daniels, a former resident of Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana conspired with others to defraud the United States by filing tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that sought fraudulent refunds. Daniels allegedly obtained the IDs of inmates he was incarcerated with in the East Carroll Detention Center and provided this information to his co-conspirators in exchange for a fee so they could file fraudulent tax returns. Daniels is also charged with assisting in the preparation and presentation of seven false tax returns, including his own personal returns, which allegedly included false dependents and education credits, and sought inflated refunds. If convicted, Daniels faces a statutory maximum sentence of five years in prison for the conspiracy charge and three years for each of the seven false return charges. He also faces a period of supervised release, restitution and monetary penalties.

5…………> Another Trump Victory: DACA

1…………> China Shadow Banking: A Ticking Bomb

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said China’s debt is at 234% of gross domestic product (GDP) and predicted the figure to rise to 300% by 2022, while the corporate debt is currently at 165%. These metrics are very high compared  to other developed countries and are foreshadowing with greater probability the advent of a financial distress. The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland— the very same bank that was wheeling and dealing with Hitler, Ford and GM while the Jews were exterminated in the death camps just across the border, a bank also known as the central bank of central banks, is warning now that the Chinese banking sector could be facing an imminent blowout, threatening the recovery of the world economy. Are the masters of the “New World Disorder” worried that a Chinese bank failure could snowball into a yuan drop that can take down the US dollar with it?

2………..> A Second After Creation: The Black Hole

A supermassive black hole quasar named J1342 + 0928, with a mass of 800 million Suns located about 13.1 billion light years from Earth is earliest and most distant ever spotted, formed nearly 700 million years after the Big Bang, when the universe was just 5 percent of its current age.

3…………>In The Footsteps Of The Romans: Pollution

Nearly two thousand years after Julius Caesar was Emperor of Rome, scientists discovered that the Romans, known as the “five stars rated master builders” of the antiquity were actually using lead orifices in their water systems, leading to deposits of the toxic metal in their bodies, hence explaining the incidence of a violent behaviour and barbarity they were known for. Now the humanity is facing a similar threat courtesy of the the Central bankers that have been printing money in the trillions to keep up the growth of the so called “global economy”, melting the polar caps and drowning cities in a deadly smog. The latest victim of global warming induced pollution: The Indian city of New Delhi where the concentration of the most dangerous particulates in the air – the microscopic PM2.5 particles that can travel deep into your lungs and damage them – has climbed to more than 700 micrograms per cubic metre.

4…………> Applied Global Warming: Angry CA Fires

Residents of Los Angeles’ wealthy Bel-Air neighborhood found their homes under threat after another wildfire erupted in California, as the so-called Skirball Fire destroyed several homes in the exclusive area, quickly spreading over 150 acres, a small portion of the largest fire named Thomas, covering 90,000 acres.

Authorities issued a purple alert – the highest level warning ever issued in the state – amid what it called “extremely critical fire weather”.

5…………>Train Robberies Central: Mexico

A policy by Mexico’s Federal Government leading to 700% increase of train robberies is that authorities cracked down on pipeline theft, causing former petroleum thieves known as huachicoleros to turn to robbing country’s railroads, with Puebla, Veracruz and Guanajuato leading the way. The wave of crime was made worse when criminals armed with high-caliber weapons such as AK-47s to hold up trains, and used women and children as human shields to prevent counter-attacks by the authorities.

1…………> Applied Global Warming: California Code Purple

The wind wildfire threat for Southern California was raised to purple for the first time, meaning that there is extreme danger of yet another inferno erupting and burning uncontrollably as the one in Los Angeles’ exclusive Bel-Air area that consumed multi-million-dollar houses and tract homes alike.

2…………> Applied Global Warming: Rare Dolphins

“It seems like the Kikori Delta is really the only place in all of [Papua] New Guinea at this stage and — importantly — all of the Pacific Islands, where the snubfin dolphins are found,” senior research fellow Isabel Beasley said about the discovery of two rare species of Australian snubfin and humpback living in the Kikori Delta, in Gulf Province west of Port Moresby.

“They seem to follow Wallace’s Line broadly, but the next stage will be to see within the Indonesia archipelago and also into Papua and West Papua itself, where does the break lie and what’s the driving force behind those species’ little differences,” Dr Beasley said.

5…………> Third Antifada: Hamas Threat
Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the influential Palestinian Islamist group Hamas  has called for a new uprising against Israel, declaring that, “We should call for and we should work on launching an intifada in the face of the Zionist enemy. We want the uprising to last and continue to let Trump and the occupation regret this decision.”

His call to arms led to violent clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli troops across the West Bank and along the Gaza-Israel border, with stones being hurled at anti-riot troops who used water cannons and tear gas on Palestinians in Bethlehem, injuring 15 demonstrators.

6…………> Remember Pearl Harbor Heroes: Rear Adm. Brian Fort

This article was penned by distinguished Navy Commander, Rear Adm. Brian Fort, Navy Region Hawaii and Naval Surface Group Middle Pacific.

Winston Churchill, who was a World War I warfighter and World War II Prime Minister of Britain, famously said, “The longer you can look back, the farther you can look forward.”

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is an opportunity for the world’s citizens, especially those of us in the United States and Japan, to remember key lessons of the past and reflect on the meaning of the Second World War.

Seventy-six years ago, under Western sanctions for having invaded Manchuria and Southeast Asia, Imperial Japan miscalculated and attacked Oahu. Veterans who were around then said they knew war was inevitable. War was already underway in Europe, as Churchill tried to stave off Hitler and the Nazis. When Japanese planes destroyed our battleships in Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941, we rose to the challenge to fight fascism, both here in the Pacific and in Europe.

On the home-front, families also rose to challenges and confronted new realities. Women joined the workforce in nontraditional occupations. The armed forces became more diversified. Our nation came together in the name of freedom.

In the first year after the attack here in the Pacific, despite some initial setbacks, our aviators literally rose up in the Battle of Coral Sea and Battle of Midway. Submarines and surface forces took the fight to the enemy like never before. We continued to turn the tide in the Battle of Guadalcanal 75 years ago.
