1…………> Soft Smile, Steel Hand: Mr.Xi

More than 170 ministers and deputy minister-level officials have been demoted and many jailed since Mr Xi became President of China and Secretary of the powerful military commission in 2012, all accused of corruption, misconduct and violation of party discipline.

Breaking with many unwritten party traditions since Mao’s time when prominent communist were retired stealthily, under Mr. Xi watch anyone who broke discipline has been removed or jailed.

2…………> China Security Purges

The former head of China’s security services Zhou Yongkang was convicted of a series of corruption charges, including bribery, abuse of power and leaking state secrets, despite being one of his country’s most prominent politicians until Mr. Xi took over, a man who most likely will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Are we witnessing a new “Cult Of Personality” phenomenon in Mr. Xi when leaders get numerous glorious granite statues all over the land, and opponents get into cold, stone clad prisons for years?

“We’re prepared for anything. We are so prepared like you wouldn’t believe. You would be shocked to see how totally prepared we are, if we need to be. They’re (Chinese) closing off their banking systems to North Korea, they have cut the oil way down. … With respect to North Korea, 93 percent of things going into North Korea come through China. China is big stuff,” Trump said about the tensions with Comrade Un and full ban on imports of coal, iron, iron ore, lead, lead ore and seafood from the hermit country.

The last time that the United States fought North Korea during the 1950s, China intervened with a massive infusion of troops in a war that lasted for three years, with heavy casualties in the millions, especially on the communist North Korea and their supporters side.

Now after over 60 years of fragile peace, both China and the United States  are working the phones trying to prevent a recurrence of this catastrophe, yet one single miscalculation or a provocation by North Korea could lead to a world war.

The F-35C, world’s only fifth generation, long-range stealth strike fighter designed and built for aircraft carrier operations conducted day and nighttime operations aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) as the ship trained off the coast of Southern California. 3…………> A Cry For Help: Mexico’s Opium Country

As 30 Mexican soldiers were pulling opium poppy plants out of the ground with their bare hands in the heart of the mountain range known as the Sierra Tarahumara in Chihuahua, they also found a handwritten note, but it was not from the usual suspects containing ominous messages left next to slain bodies by cartel members. It was a plea for help:

“Please, don’t destroy them, I don’t even have any [money] to eat and my daughters don’t have shoes,” a misspelled message on a crumpled sheet of notebook paper cried man’s desperation.

While democratically elected President Trump has been fighting with “One Eyed Deep State Hillary Impersonator” mutando’s in the US, Australian decision makers have been resisting trillion-dollar push by China to dominate global trade, warning of serious “strategic” consequences if Australia formally signs up.
So far, 68 countries including New Zealand have joined the project of Chinese President Xi Jinping, which marks his nation’s plans to expand its power in the region and beyond along an ancient network of land and ocean silk trade routes, and has already spent billions of dollars on new infrastructure projects for roads, railways, ports and maritime corridors.
