Using drone cameras, scientists have documented spectacular line drawings newly discovered in southern Peru, that appear much older than the famous Nasca lines, a maze of 50 geometric drawings depicting humans and animals. 25 of them had never been documented before.
The latest line drawings discovered by archaeologists in Peru show geometric figures portraying humans, apes and a whale, according to a report published in National Geographic.
The enormous drawings seem to precede the famous geoglyphs of the Nasca culture.

Clashes broke out on May 3, 2017, and Salazar was set alight when the gas tank of a motorbike exploded. He survived.

Directed by Kurdish filmmaker Hussein Hassan, the 2016 film “Reseba: The Dark Wind” (above), depicts how a young Yazidi couple about to enter the miracle of marriage is torn apart by militants from the so-called “Islamic State,” that carry out a massacre against the religious minority in northern Iraq’s Shingal district. According to press reports, audiences were angered by the film’s plot which was inspired by the true events of genocide against the Yazidis in Sinjar, northwest Iraq, that IS undertook in August 2014.
The Yazidis are a Kurdish religious minority of some one million individuals worldwide, with some 750,000 living in northwest Iraq alone, and other communities in Syria, Turkey, Iran, Armenia, Georgia and Russia, following the exodus of many Yazidis from their Middle Eastern homelands.
The native language of Yazidis is Kurmanji Kurdish.

Bulgarian national named Zhelyaz Andreev, 29 was arrested pursuant to an Interpol Red Notice based on an Indictment charging him with: conspiracy to defraud the U.S. Government and substantive violations of the Syria Trade Embargo as enforced through the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA); and the U.S. Department of Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control’s (OFAC) designation of Syrian Arab Airlines, aka Syrian Air, as a Specially Designated National (SDN) whose assets are blocked and with whom U.S. nationals are prohibited from transacting business.
Andreev was charged with conspiracy to violate IEEPA and the OFAC regulations by exporting dual-use goods, that is, articles that have both civilian and military application, to Syrian Arab Airlines, the Syrian government’s airline, which is an entity designated and blocked by OFAC for transporting weapons and ammunition to Syria in conjunction with Hizballah, a terrorist organization, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The Syrian Army has discovered a facility in Eastern Ghouta used for making toxic biochemical weapons, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported Friday.
The “Syrian Arab army units found a large lab for making toxic materials” and a workshop for producing artillery shells of various sizes while inspecting towns where terrorists were recently evacuated from in Eastern Ghouta, located just east of Damascus, SANA noted.
A military source explained that chlorine, hazmat gear, and ampoules for mixing substances were located at the facility.
