The man who sold first rock-and-roll million copies record and whose music has been credited as a key influence on artists during the 1960s and 70s, including  Elvis Presley, Paul McCartney and Harry Connick Jr, the man who was destined to become one of the most influential rock and roll performers of the 1950s and 60s, has passed away. Fats Domino was 89.

What do Roman Emperor Nero, Russian tyrant Joseph Stalin, Italian fascist Benito Mussolini and KGB Chief Yuri Andropov have in common?  They were all prolific murders, and strangely enough admired reading and writing poetry. Did they find forgiveness for their brutal earthly sins in the sensitivity and elegance of the written word?

NATO member country of Belgium suffered from a streak of deadly robberies and murders during the 1980’s that left 28 dead and 40 injured, yet for 40 years non one was charged despite the clear proficiency of the criminals in military tactics and weapons use.
Now a deathbed confession by a former policeman suggests that the group was connected to “Operation Gladio” – a NATO disinformation campaign that employed secret groups to carry out false terrorist attacks in European countries throughout the Cold War, and then blame the left for it.

A naturalized U.S. citizen Yi Lee, 44, and his five co-defendants were indicted and charged with participating in a conspiracy to commit marriage fraud: Chia-Jung Chang, 39; Dan Zheng, 33; Lian Xiang Deng, 42; and Xiao-Yin Le, 50, all Chinese nationals illegally in the United States; and Santiago Aveles, 31, of Las Cruces in Albuquerque, New Mexico, pleaded guilty in federal court to a felony marriage fraud charge arising out of a scheme to obtain immigration status for foreign nationals.

5…………> Naval Buildup:Pacific FleetThe Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) and its Strike Group (TRCSG) entered the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations (AOO) Oct. 23, to conduct maritime security operations, theater security cooperation and port visits as part of the U.S. Navy’s ongoing presence in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
TRCSG consists of the staff of Destroyer Squadron 23 and the squadrons of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17, which includes Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 113, VFA-94, VFA-22, Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 312, Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 139, Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 116, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 6, Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 73 and Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VRC) 30.USS Theodore Roosevelt and its Strike Group was joined by aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) with embarked Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 11 and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 11, and Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 9 arrived in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations (AOO) Oct. 25, after concluding operations in U.S. 5th Fleet.The NIMSG departed 5th Fleet with the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59) and Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Howard (DDG 83), USS Shoup (DDG 86), USS Pinckney (DDG 91) and USS Kidd (DDG 100) after contributing to Operation Inherent Resolve for three months as part of a regularly scheduled deployment. This deployment is an example of the U.S. Navy’s commitment to stability, maritime cooperation and economic success for all nations.
